Given my skill level I'd rate Arrabbiatta to the same level of difficulty as Exotic Ethnic, maybe slightly harder.

I've AAed Exotic Ethnic. I can't get halfway through Arrabbiatta. If they were within the same foot rating, I'd expect to be able to at least get an A on Arrabbiata, the way I have on every other 9, on both DDR and ITG.

The chart is alright. It's the stamina that has me fail.

Afronova's steps do not require facing you back to the screen. Arrabiatta requires either spins or odd turns with steps in the middle. Arrabbiata is just stupid. In fact, someone pointed out that it's practically a dumbed down version of a keyboard chart that exists out there. Arrabbiata SHOULD have been exotic ethnic 2.0, all cross overs and streams for the most part.

I can AA Afronova no bar, whereas I must crossover and break a sweat in Arrabiatta with a bar.
It's as bad as saying that Paranoia is harder or close to Arrabiatta. >_>

It's alright, Colors [Ee], Drop Out, and many more songs you probably haven't played in a while will be seen as easy stuff compared to that other stuff.

Just to clear up any confusion that might remain or might come up, I've uploaded two videos, from just a little bit ago.
One of Afronova at 1.2 music rate.
And one of Arrabbiata (which I have been spelling wrong on accident)
Notice how I scored a good 2% higher on Afronova 1.2x rate, and overall performed it with much less stress.
I think that pretty much settles any argument that Arrabbiata should be a 9, or even an easy 10. It's definitely at the hard end of the 10 range.

It's definately nowhere near Afronova on any difficulty scale, I was utterly wrong about that.
I don't know where I'd place it on the "scale of 10s", though. There are a lot of 10s being referred to as easy, which I could never hope to pass, and I A'd Arabbiatta on the first attempt.
Now I'm really interested in exploring what makes songs hard. I'd be really interested to see which songs you consider to be 10s, and how you'd rate them, from easiest to hardest.

Im in favor of just doing what DM and GF does and just make a scale 1-100. Theres nothing wrong with that and Im surprised they havent done that yet. Its just so much more accurate if they do it right.

The problem is that leaves a lot more room for error, and with the way people bitch about ratings being inaccurate, that would only lead to disaster.

I believe they recently changed the rating system by adding a decimal for the next installment of GF/DM.
Konami made flashing 10s to aggravate the ddr community and for threads like these to appear in every ddr-related site. Everyone knows what's hard and what isn't, but people are too damn egotistical to come to a general consensus.
I'm pretty sure even Konami had no idea how to use "flashing 10s" at the time as it made no sense.
