"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
It really does depend on what kind of free style you're talking about. Some people consider doing odd turns and spinning as free style (I don't), some people consider doing anything that's not concentrating on getting a good score (I guess this is freestyling in it's truest definition of the word), then there's freestyling where people actually dance (what I've come to consider freestyling) and there's doing shuffle and attempting not to double step the entire song. I personally like to play songs and make my movements as fluid as possible so it looks freestylish, but it's really not. Kind of like swaying your body fluidly in some mid-speed doubles songs.
Most people will agree that you want to stay away from high speed songs and anything with complicated rhythms (I don't see anyone freestyling to Kakumei or Rain of Sorrow). A lot of stuff from home mixes works great (Try 2 Luv U, Saturday Night Love, Dynamite Rave Down Bird Sota mix, Bad Routine, etc) and of course any of the older Dancemania licenses (Long Train Runnin', Mr. T, I Was the One, Miracle, etc).
Of course, you can also always do Brilliant 2U KOG3 Mix on Cut/Little and go get a drink out of a vending machine during "go go go go go go go go".

Doh, good cool, der, my bad! I knew Mr. T wasn't a license, but I had a brain fart because I was thinking Mr. T was removed from Extreme, all the licenses were removed from Extreme, then I remember so were good cool songs and various others, not JUST licenses.
