they are also hearing rumors that Daft Punk and Mixmaster Mike are going to be in the game, but these still are unconfirmed artists in the game.
Here is teh link
..Daft Punk? Oh hell yes, this is win

I love them that much, and it doesn't seem like Konami wants to give them to me in DDR.
If they include Daft Punk, DJ Q-bert, Joe Hahn, and Oceanlab (unlikely), then i will most definitely get this game

Aerodynamic was okay
Except for the fact that the middle had two keys playing at the same time.

Alive 2007.
On-topic, this is some freaking AWESOME news. I've been...semi-following Scratch for awhile, I'm at least somewhat interested in it. I hope it's good.

It would be great if Daft Punk was on this game. Other artists I would love to see on this, or DJ Hero, are Basement Jaxx, Claude VonStroke, DJ MASS, Drop the Lime, Jokers of the Scene, Proxy, and Starkey.

Am I the only one that has this weird feeling that DJ Hero would follow the same route as Scratch? As in, only hip-hop and rap tracks instead of a variety of music.
BUMP: Activision Scratches Up a Lawsuit
I had a feeling something like this would happen...but it wasn't what I expected.

...so 7 Studios is going to try and sue Activision for trying to "sabotage" the release of their game?
...i want to see how this turns out
watch Activision somehow win the lawsuit, "sabotage" the release of Scratch, and watch as DJ Hero sky rockets as the best DJ game of 2009 (if not, they might conjure it to be of All-time)
Yet i see that Activision did say that they will try and make this game a lot more to the "contemporary" audience including the hip/hop and rap audience (more so, you might find Hit songs and DJ songs from the past...5 or 10 years or so)

"Killing multi-colored snails!" |
I'm beginning to notice a trend here...
In all honesty I like to convince myself that Konami is like a deceptive ninja assassin hottie and that she's seducing American media into a state of complacency so she can do her "Black Widow" thing. Haha, you know, Black Widows are actually kinda hot.
In any event, did anybody notice all of the Hyper Freak scenes in the teaser? At one point you can see a Flashbanger get up on a skateboard and sorta pretend to grind as he defies the laws of physics.
So, who else has realized that EVERYTHING America does is copied off of someone else's idea? You have? Good, that's not the trend I noticed. The trend I noticed is this: EVERYTHING America copies is packaged with some awesome sort of "super mode" that supposedly makes it intellectually different. Star Power and Overdrive for GH and RB respectively? Trust me, Scratch and DJ Hero are going to have something along the lines of "Freestyle". Maybe "Dance Hero" is going to have a "Rave Jive" or something stupid like that. The imagination is only so limited. It's pathetic. The DRUMS on Rock Band break your combo if you even THINK about freestyling (although it doesn't bump you down). That's the one thing between the Overseas originals and American hype-ups I don't like: The American version doesn't allow you to screw around when there aren't any notes to play.

"The Oracle told me that I would fall in love with 'The One'... So don't you see Neo? You CAN'T die... because... I fell in love with you..." *gets killed by a sentinel* (alas, if only Trinity died sooner I would have laughed more at The Matrix).
Thanks for the good news. I was actually surprised. I didn't think Activision had the brains to think of something like that. I thought they were just getting it all from Konami.
Wait, so then, shouldn't Scratch developers pay Konami's toll fee too?

They should.
Konami says MAJORLY SUED IN THE ASS.
I can't wait for someone to call Scratch the first dj game ever released. But that is IIDX's and DJ MAX's own fault for not advertising on MTV and the stuff kids my age watch.
Oh well.

They're paying to use Konami's patents, like Activision is with Guitar Hero and EA with Rock Band. Hence, why Konami's name appears on the Guitar Hero AC cabinet.Post #34 · Posted at 2009-04-21 06:22:56am 16.2 years ago

Umm, you do realize that before IIDX there was just Beatmania, don't you?
Also, I dunno what happened between Japan's BM and Korea's DM. I'm guessing that since Koreans call IIDX "EZ2DJ", DJ Max came first

The last original Beatmania before Beatmania IIDX was Beatmania: The Final. It only had five buttons and the turntable was always on the right side.

First, DJ Max Copies Beatmania
Then, DJ Hero
