Konami removed one of my videos, which was from the first EMPRESS Location Test. I actually had 3 of those Location Test videos, so I removed the other 2 to avoid problems.

Weird thing is that Konami hasn't removed any of my pop'n music 17 videos, even is it's a newer game...

Youtube told me that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMzMzYEuGUU (Pluto Relinquish) was gone due to copyright infringement yesterday but its back again today like nothing happened....weird

I can only think of 1 video that sums up everything.

To my understanding, if an actual copyright infringement complaint was filed, the error message will be along the lines of "This video has been removed due to a copyright infringement claim by [company name]." However, YouTube will automatically look through its database for similar videos and disable them all, and trying to view those videos results in a more generic error message, something along the lines of "This video has been removed due to copyright infringement." or "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation. " (This algorithm to detect similar videos also seems to have a penchant for casting wide nets.)

From what I've seen, Konami tends to view YouTube videos of Bemani games as free advertisement for themselves, as evidenced by the official DDR site often linking to fan-made YouTube videos. But they also seem to dislike people leaking spoilers for unlocks, codes, etc. for recently-released games or from location tests. However, if they complain about a couple videos of secret songs, the YouTube algorithm is liable to go through and take down every video with similar audio, video, or even similar tags and titles.

This isn't the first case of such a mass-deletion. Last year, there were a couple complaints filed against videos of Heboris, a popular unofficial Tetris clone based on the Tetris: The Grand Master series. (If you thought Konami was litigious, they're nothing compared to The Tetris Company ( (C)(R)TM, just to be safe. ) .) Suddenly, just about every video with "Heboris" anywhere in the title or tags was removed in no time flat, while a couple videos labeled "Fan-made Tetris Clone" and such remained. (To this day, searching for "Heboris" yields 8 videos, all of which were uploaded after the incident, and 4 of which were uploaded just to see if it would get taken down for "copyright infringement". Only one result is an actual Heboris video.)

They deleted my whole account. I had to make a new one. Then again I did have a juBEAT mix on it...and the video that got me deleted was EMPRESS PLACE.

I got banned from youtube because of avex trax and konami licensed stuff. and I wasn't really showing any unlocks/test locations and such. and I just don't get it. I wonder if there are people from the companies (avex/konami) that they actually browse the videos and report some of them they don't like (like the test location vids).

but truth is that the mass deletion that follows usually is quite weird and random. because for example direct rips of games don't get deleted but tracks used for something completely different for example get deleted? so yeah, it seems that the yt chain reaction deleting is something more or less automatic and done by a machine not really by a human being.

So what now, would we expect the same if we uploaded our Avex and Konami related in other sites like Veoh?
