I had walking pneumonia last year for CHRISTMAS BREAK! Then that February I had the stomach bug, which I would rather have pneumonia than. Thankfully this year I wasn't sick at all, except for a regular cold a few weeks ago.

It's weird how you would be out for a week when getting sick. Just as you, I hardly ever get sick, just less frequent. Hope you get better.

My laptop killed itself. It keeps being stuck on the first boot up screen. I think the BIOS has gone bad. :<

I had to make a GUI in C++ using XLib and a toolkit I had to write for an assignment. This was one of the most frustrating tasks I've ever done. >_> The damned thing never did work properly. This next one, however, is Java, which is somewhat of an improvement, at least in terms of documentation and pre-existing libraries.

If it's the BIOS, his OS has no bearing on the problem.

What's the message you get? Where does it stop? Can you enter the BIOS configuration?
