Hi.
We have an r23....
Is there some possibility to play songs above the time limit (2:30?) on it?

R21 would be your easiest route. Unless you know 100% what you are doing with OITG and the filesystems, just downgrade to R21.

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!" |
Yeah that's the main thing - Make sure you know what you're doing, or at least know for absolute certain that you can revert to stock when you start out.

Ok, then first I have to find out who is the manager of the machine.... then I can ask him if I can so anything with the hard drive.... THEN I can install or downgrade or whatever...
Okay, I know someone who would help me.
But as I said: before doing anything it seems like I have to ask the owner of it..... haha, I`ll ask on Thursday
By the way I`ll ask if they can turn the music a little bit louder

"Give me a steady beat." |
Fun trick: If your ITG has custom songs enabled you can use a program called SM2ITG (google for a bemanistyle link) to convert the gain of the audio so that it's louder than normal.
Use this with caution as a friend of mine got into a cold war with an arcade over it. Everytime he made custom simfiles louder the machines volume would be turned lower. This happened until custom simfiles sampled at a 200% gain were so quite you had to sight-read. And it was put to rest when the arcade turned the volume back up and custom simfiles off.

"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
Wow I know this is an old thread but I kept seeing misinformation at the start: R23 cuts songs off at 120 seconds (2 minutes) (source: http://inthegroove.roxorgames.com/page/Machine_Updates).
Btw Lucie, I highly discourage installing anything other than R21. Doing anything but this runs the risk of irritating many players as the machine becomes unstable with many hacks/customizations done to it.
