(not sure how the ratings go in Japan)
In increasing order of age requirement, the possible ratings are A, B, C, D, and Z (the responsible organization is called the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization (CERO))
I'm not totally sure, but I think all of the DDR CS releases have been rated A (or the equivalent "Free" pre-March 2006). I don't have a reliable source for this right now.
"Ubuntu: Linux for Human Beings" ...as opposed to what?
Linux for extraterrestrial life-forms?

"jubeat knit one, purl two"
I was looking for blood flying or something that's not as *ahem* tame as what's actually there. The Baby's Tears censoring I get, and Cartoon Network wouldn't let anything like that slip.

I can say by my observations (mainly from import shops in NYC) all Japanese DDR games for the consoles carry an A rating (for all ages), or the free rating prior to March 2006 (from FESTIVAL back)

And all this for the sake of keeping the rating as E in America (not sure how the ratings go in Japan).
As you may know, all DDRs since EX2's release were rated "E10+"
