As far as I'm aware that's a different game.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_Dance_Revolution_Winx_Club
Also what's there to translate? They've been using practically the same terminology throughout Dancing Stage's existence and most of it should be a copy from the first game aside from the groove circuit mode. Do they have like one person translating this all into French, German, Italian etc?

I think the game has been made in English already, but they're just not publishing it here. Quite possibly due to the fact it will not sell well here.

Yes I know Konami, like most game publishers, consider American English used for the US decent enough for Europe without altering most words into British English (apart from 'marvellous' for some reason...), but they also have to include the translations for the other languages which is what I would assume takes up a lot of the 'localisation' time Konami need. EDIT: I just checked, DancingStage (lol) Hottest Party doesn't contain any non-English languages. I can't believe I didn't notice that before.
I do know some games don't sell as well here in Europe and it's a damn shame developers hold it against us by giving us lax release dates but I guess that's what we get for not being as profitable as America. I suppose it's size and denser population really help.

I wonder how much DDR promotion does go on in America. Seems like in the UK, they're doing nothing to promote the DS/DDR series.

As far as I know, not much beyond print ads in gaming magazines. I have never seen any DDR-related TV commercial except that Burger King promotion a couple years back and that Dance Revolution TV show on CBS.Post #28 · Publicado en 2009-03-09 11:29:02pm Hace 16.5 años

I won't be absolutely sure that it will be released until they actually promote it on the website.
C'mon, at least give Europe one worthwhile DDR game for the Wii this year.

And one for the PS2 as well please while they're at it. I get a horrible feeling that DDR X for Europe might actually have a gimped songlist. I know that's not supposed to be the case this time but I wouldn't put it past Konami...
Also I think Hottest Party 2 just being late is probably a good thing, at least we should get exactly the same game as America in all but name. Not as bad as late AND heavy gimped.

I wouldn't be surprised. Didn't they say the same thing with SN2 EU? We all know what happened with that fiasco...Post #31 · Publicado en 2009-03-10 02:03:47am Hace 16.5 años

OK, put simply, Konami has fecked with us since SuperNOVA CS. And NOTHING will change that fact.

And before Dancing Stage Max too, and I do wonder what crazy pot Konami smoked that caused them to give us THAT game. It's like they sat down and said "feck it, I can't be bothered trying to give Europe a crappy CS title, let's give them something good for once". Wish they could go crazy and give us a really good PS2 CS game again.*Considers emailing Konami and asking for a 'Dancing Stage Max 2' before realising how pointless that would probably be...*

Poor Europe and all their delays
I think the reason you guys always get delays is because they simply don't care anymore. DDR does not even do that well in NA and Japan, so imagine trying to make an effort in the hardest market; Europe.

I don't see why they don't just use the existing DDR HP2 logo the US version has; it's pretty much the same game as evidenced by what's stated in the blue bit:
You're The One That I Want
Black or White
Umbrella
Walking on Sunshine
I bet someone got paid to make that box art as well.
And why is she standing on the A and B buttons? She's doing it wrong!

Yeah, they should have somebody that's right in the middle of a crossover, with motion blur and everything. Then it'd look action-packed.
