"I'm honestly pissed off." |
I can only do so many 10s and up in a night.
I'll get to it. Probably only get a few seconds of me doing it with no mines, since it is a 12.
Meta Knight's Revenge is up. I did about as well as you might expect, doing the 12, with no mines.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Eqvy25sAPdU
The actual Nemesetup Flow edit is up.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=IO4P6vQXKr8
And FAXX GRS
is up.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=q9wWHUpb6YE
I was off balance somewhat last night, so that's most of what I did. I'll upload the other ones I did when I get a round tuit.

Thanks for playing Meta Knight's Revenge, that was a bit rough.
I've never gotten to dance this myself, but I've shadowed it before. I leave today for NJ, my only annual ITG experience, and I'll probably play it for my first time via USB. Might not do well.

Heh, if you have spare USB drives, you should put a slightly different set of songs on each, just to make really sure that you don't accidentally go over the limit, and end up not being able to play off the drive. Or if you're unsure of having the drive set up right, you could set up each slightly differently, and try each configuration. Have fun with your annual ITG experience, and I hope the machine is still where it was last year, and in good condition.
Okay, I did a bunch of Pandemonium X's charts tonight. Hope this helps you see how awkward they are. Or helps somehow.
I admit, I put it off because I wasn't looking forward to it. Sorry. The rhythms on the charts are perfect though. If I get less lazy, I'll just rearrange the steps to suit me, and play edits with the same rhythsm.

This looks interesting. I have a chart I want to see you do, but it's not hosted here.
It's this one. Do either/both the Heavy or/and Challenge charts.

I do know that one of the videos was of me failing your ITG vs DDR, in part due to the awkwardness of parts of it.

Well, it's just meant to be an abundance of crossovers. I can't comment further since I've never played it on foot.

I've decided to re-do that chart because I looked up simfiles for that song over at Bemanistyle to see if anybody had anything similar to mine. And there was - like about 5 or so and each had a nice amount of hits so that means my edit wasn't as unique as I thought it was. My final product is what I recently uploaded.

Yeah, you're supposed to cross-over. I made that edit when I was under the impression that edits should go with the music and as hard as I could make it. ...I was so young and inexperienced..... that's why I re-did the edit. I tried making it unique from the rest of the edits along with making it fun.
That's why I asked for you to play those edits; they're meant to be fun.

Oh and about era: I would like it ig you play it without mods, but if can't then that's just as fine.

Hey, thanks a lot for playing the charts. I'm getting a lot of useful feedback.

Yeah, the 16ths in the verses of the Challenge chart, they were there to match up the perceived "slurring" of the lyrics, like at the "Afuredasu jounetsu o mune ni..." part. The "slurring" at "Mada minu hikari..." I thought sounded a bit like Pluto Relinquish's, so I made a reference there.
I'll try to avoid putting crossovers before stepjumps.

Ah, okay, that explains why I didn't pick up on what the 16ths were following. I only know English.

So my annual week of ITG has ended, it was extremely awesome, and the most fun I've had doing anything all year.
Ed's Funcade in Wildwood NJ had 2 ITG2 dedis with the Gold theme, and 776 songs each. THey had a MAX2 that noone played on, and a PIU Pro. For my first time playing PIU, I think I did pretty well. (passed Energizer on the "orange" difficulty with some ~91%)
Kyzentun, I played Meta Knight's Revenge, and you were right; it's really hard on the pad! I lost somewhere after the second 12th part. I wanted to play my longer Rhapsody of Fire songs (and Toxicity), but the machines were r23's.
And there was very little wait for the machines, because I was very lucky.
I mostly played songs like Silikon and Mungyodance stuff. I did pass Disconnected Disco Expert doubles for the first time, fun stuff. I played Pluto expert, and I also chose Pluto Relinquish expert (USB) once, but after the mods screen it played PA theme (WTF?) I starred Zodiac expert singles.
I also met mDaWg, neat guy. It was kinda weird seeing him play; I mean, I could hit all the arrows he was hitting, but every step was on perfect sync with the music.
I'm not even close to doing that yet.
My name on the machine was GSBY, in case anyone ever goes there and plays. Not like I have many scores though; I had the 1st place highscore on two of the MGD2 pack 2 songs.
So I have to wait till next year to do this again, which is disappointing. I hope I get those BlueShark pads sometime soon; every time I check for their availability, their release date is rolled back further and further.

Great, sounds like you had fun with ITG.
I've played with people who get ** and *** too, and it's just kinda weird, looking at the screen afterward, and seeing those *s. Makes me wonder how I can ever hope to compete against those people.
As for the MGD songs, I hope you played the Lollipop Song, or Engel Der Nacht, to enjoy the hands. Still haven't decided whether I want to upload my sightread video for the Lollipop Song (failed at the 16th run at the end).
As for MKR, months ago, I was able to do FAXXO at x0.8, so in theory, I should be able to do MKR once I get to know it. Picking up on a complex rhythm like it has is hard on a sight read. The 6th jumps will probably knock me down a bit though. There's some weird positioning going on there. Might try it again tonight if I don't get any new request. Probably also try SMMM
again (failed ~20 steps from the end!)

I can't believe you played EternuS.... just know that I'll be redoing that as well when I get to SuperNOVA2. I'm not happy with that edit.
