Not a fan of how a lot of UK arcades have transitioned to ticket redemption garbage (Though i do understand a lot probably wouldnt exist without it)

Sad to hear it's happening where you are. It's been the reality for most North American arcades for a while now; rent is just astronomical in a ton of places, while many others are run by managers who have no love for the games, or even interest in keeping players satisfied beyond the bare minimum.

My opinion on redemption games has always been "As long as it keeps the lights on, and as long as it doesn't step on the toes of the other games." That's basically how I feel about this game, too.

Its just a scrapped left pad from a white cab with different graphics and its a ticket redemption game.

Honestly it looks kind of fun. Always said that if DDR machines gave out tickets, people would flock to them in droves.

One time when I was at my local arcade, some Mom who had already put credits into Chunithm offered to let me play on her credit. I promptly blew her mind with some (PLost) 12's and 12+'s, but at the end of my set she was surprised that I didn't get any tickets.

It seems like people in North America just assume all arcade machines give out tickets now... But if the games we played actually did that, we'd bankrupt all our local arcades within a week. Laughing Out Loud

(This is not my video.)

It's good to see that Avicii has reappeared in DDR! Interestingly, it's the song "Waiting For Love" that was featured this time. I wonder if Stomp Arrows songs like this one will also make it in DDR World. I also wonder if "Wake Me Up" by Avicii will make a comeback.

The video and thumbnail show three difficulties: Easy, Hard and Super Hard. Each one is assigned a randomized song, and this difficulty screen only appears on the 1st Stage. The 2nd and Final stages, if purchased, consist of completely random songs.

I'm still hoping that this helps the DDR brand, and that most arcades buy DDR World with it. Maybe Konami can bundle both games.

Reply to LABcrab - " I think Xscape would go for this. That chain and Cineplex once had dozens of dance machines, maybe around 100. Today, with at least 81 Xscape arcades, only 17 are known to have dance games, in variable condition. I noticed Cineplex removing over a dozen dance machines, mostly DDR Extreme, in the past 10 years. Also, other dance games are almost nonexistent. What a pity!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.5 months later, but i thought i should give an update on the locations of XScape having dance machines, as Cineplex in Sudbury have gotten rid of their In The Groove 2 machine around the same time that Plaza Bowl (also in Sudbury) had gotten their StepManiaX Machine

I could hear a bit of Mutsuhiko Izumi's remix of William Tell overture from jubeat in the beginning which is a bit surprising given that it's not in regular DDR.

Speaking of which, the overall design of the machine gives the me the same vibe as Konami's (failed) attempt of turning jubeat into a gambling machine.

Are we collecting footage for preservation in case this game gets pulled?
