I've been looking at Kobayan play and I'm wondering if he was born that way.

You know, always standing on his toes. Granted, he's turned it law-defying DDR style but it makes you wonder.

To me, the ability to play FAXX expert/challenge well (or even pass it) is a rite of passage to the land of DDR gods. It may not be the hardest song on the block but it is packed with 640 arrows from Hell pushing you to the limit and will always be remembered for being extremely difficult.

I still haven't got around to trying to FAXX on difficult. I've tried it on expert and I've gotten past the quarter note section but when the eighth notes come around, the dance meter crashes.

Well, I either A'ed or AA'ed FAXXO on x0.7, and hope to do the same on x0.8, so I'm close, right?
Y'know what, screw the blister, I'm going to finish this song off tonight, at 0.8, 0.9, and maybe 1.0, if I pass it at 0.9. 1340 steps of PAIN.
I expect the early "we're our own rhythm, not the song's" 8ths to crash my meter, but I'll survive them.

Kobayan will always be better than me though.

Difficult is actually pretty damn fun. There's only 2 400 BPM triplets, with the rest of the 400 BPM section just being 4th runs of varying length, really. A good chart, methinks.

Yeah, putting it in mirror would make it so you don't have to mentally swap it. Haven't tried it myself. Normal dancing is still plenty challenging to keep me interested.

And I am close to being able to FAXX. Got an A at 0.8x last night Would have passed 0.9x too, but the step jumps threw me off beat, so I died in those odd steps before the final bursts.

Oh, one other thing. There's something missing from the FAXXO simfile here. Stepmania only reports 669 steps for it, while SN1 reports 670. I haven't settled down to find the one missing step though.

I haven't try FAXX yet, I don't want to waste my money lol.. I don't play doubles anyway. My legs malfunctions whenever I reach the stream part of Pluto Relinquish expert, so I don't think I'm ready for FAXX yet.

I must say I'm impressed by MAXX Unlimited. I find it really nice. Though not really similar I like the feel of the song on the piano.

First thing: Ignore the mods requirement. Plug in a second controller, and set your mods on the second player, and watch that chart. Presto.

Second thing: Seriously, how can the character distract you? The background hiding blue/red arrows is a far more serious problem.

On GameFAQ's, theres a saying that if you come onto the boards and complain about something you can't do or get, in the next few moments you'll get what you want.

It just happened for me.

No. 13 AA'ed and FC'ed on WITH Gus! WOO!

The only problem with that method is that you'd have to soft reset everytime you don't get Gus which makes it that much more longer and frustrating.

Gus doesn't distract me. I think it's because of the mission itself that makes me anxious.

As for naturally camouflaged arrows, I find that sort of fun. In fact, I'm going to have to do that soon for SW The Last where you have to put on Note and play all the songs on difficult with an A.

Most notable is MAX 300 (SMMM) where the BG video is the ultimate environment for Note camo.
