I can see why they'd probably remove it once everything was unlocked though maybe they could have left it and maybe even put in some extra post-standard completion challenges for it?
Also the song and artist font looks SO bad there! It's even worse with the red colour and looks so amateurish. D:
I like the purely numerical step list though. While I'm partial to a visual scale I think that it looks a lot more neat, straightforward and professional like that, plus it would allow Konami to go up to 99 if they so wished (or at least beyond a 20 if there was ever a reason to).

Does the font "really" look amateurish? I make not like the font, but it has rounded edges and matches the rounded nature of the background and the rounded corners for every box in the game, so I find it very professional that they chose a font that matches the rounded nature of the UI.

Dark font on a dark background = difficult to read.
I think there's a thin black border on the font too. Double whammy. Change that border to white and thicken it a bit and you've got yourself readable text.
I don't have a problem with the font itself, but I think every game in the Wii series has its own collection of user interface faux pas.

Speaking of which, I haven't been a fan of their combo font since 3. Maybe it's just me, but it's pretty difficult mid-song to determine between the numbers 1 and 2 in Cooper Black.

Almost definitely. No particular reason why it wouldn't.

Lol.
I tried Doubles earlier using the wiimote+nunchuck as the 1P and the mat as the 2P.
Only the wiimote works. and the mat doesn't reponds.

How old is the pad?
How long have you abused it?

Lol. I didn't abused it. Actually, I'm planning on hardmodding it.
It still works , just not on doubles while on 2P.

Which port did you stick the pad in? It could be that the Wiimote registers as player 1 and the pad player 2 (or the other way around).

@Rence, any Gamecube/Wii compatible dance mat should work fine, they all work the same way.
As for those talking about the font, my only thoughts are that it works for what it is, a home version. Because let's face it, the fonts they select for AC versions aren't meant to look pretty, they're only meant to be legible enough for people to read everything within the time limits. This became obvious when SuperNOVA AC, the first modern AC version of DDR intended for US release, came out. While I don't think that they should have used Cooper with such a big stroke on a standard definition system, it does fit with the overall theme of the game in my opinion, thinking of it as something completely separate from AC titles. That doesn't mean I PREFER it over the AC font, but I think it works from a designer's point of view.
On another note, I hate the combo notifications on the screen that appear when you hit 50, 100, 200, 300, and 400 miss-free combos, the announcer was good enough for letting the player know in my opinion.
Sorry if this post is a little confuzzled, I'm running on fumes after a sleepless night. -_-

Yes. I know that. But thanks for the help. ;)
I'll buy a new pad for the 2P for doubles and see if it works.

Out of curiosity, did you try putting the pad in the player 1 side to see what happens?

IIRC, the game recognizes when you use a Wiimote to play a song, and thus locks out the other pad in doubles (thus creating a fake doubles mode). In order to play that with a pad, you must have two pads, not just one.

Are all the GC and Wii mats the same? This one doesent have A and B registered like they are on a normal DDR pad. If you use a cobalt flux or other nicer pad, the A, B, X, and Y buttons all trigger arrows, and they do not on the pad that is bundled with the game. I am fairly certain this was true for the last DDR game on the Wii as well.Sorry if this post is a little confuzzled, I'm running on fumes after a sleepless night. -_-

I see.
I just wanna try Doubles. But since I only have 1 pad, I tried to use the wiimote as a substitute for the second pad.

I have an iON Metal Pad with a universal control box that has cords for Gamecube, PS2, Original Xbox, and USB.
Would this work with the Wii? I don't know exactly how Wii pads work (do they use Gamecube ports or USB ports, or are they completely wireless)
