DDR II Wii is screaming for a Greatest Hits (even though nothing really gets changed in this version, IIRC) or a GOTY version. There's a lot that needed fixing and cleaning up.
Wii doesn't have IIRC a third party greatest hits line (just Nintendo Selects, which are 1st party from what I've seen). If it does get a revised version, it would probably be for the PS360 systems, and maybe add some DLC or whatnot. HOWEVER, while there was quite a lot of modes missing, I think this game is serviceable in the presentation department (although a little more polish might be needed in the main mode selection menus.)
A few more notes about the game:
- Haunted Rhapsody is more like a 12-13. If I can't clear Sakura Sunrise or Shiny World but can B Haunted Rhapsody, then I don't think it's quite a 14.
- It's theoretically possible to play with a nunchuck and/or Wii remote vertical position. It's really fun to play 9-10s on this mode. I'm imagining someone doing a self-imposed challenge trying out Valkyrie Dimension

- Doing some quick math, if one person plays experts and gets As or AAs, you can net 10,000 DDR points. This means on average, the minimum amount of songs to unlock everything is 200. This equates to about 300 minutes (1:30 per song on average) which is about 5 hours, unless you spam IN MY HEAD, which would take about four and a half hours to unlock everything XD. I'm not factoring any bonus points or playing RDA BTW, so could be less or more.
- I'm assuming there are about 50 long version songs, averaging at around four minutes, with the other 33 being short versions, which average about 130. This means that there is about 250 minutes of music in this game; four hours is quite a lot.
-This is probably the last Wii DDR since the new BC-less Wii comes out this month. Which means I have to buy new pads

Off topic, but I'm surprised at the praise Universe 3 is getting in those "review every DDR ever" posts. I had a terrible gameplay experience with Universe 3, and even if it contained 100 of my favorite songs it would still rank very low on my list just because the interface was that bad.
Even after saving the game to my 360's hard drive, my load times were insane. The club master mode made things worse by not including a quick restart button after failing a mission -- you had to view your score, autosave, load the city, talk to the stupid lady, choose the mission again, talk to the stupid lady, load the mission's opening screen, then choose to play the song, then load the song. It added about an extra minute after each failure of a fifteen-second mission. Bad on a normal game, worse on a game you play standing up.
Rumor is one of the missions is impossible to complete, as well.
While playing single songs, they tried to give me an "extra stage" or a "bonus stage" after nearly every song. These are unskippable, you have to go back to the difficulty select screen (after being asked for confirmation) to avoid playing it, and there's no way to turn them off.
And then, of course, while playing a song, the arrows are super tiny. I don't see much reason for this.
Regardless of its small songlist, I'm a fan of DDR2010 because it fixed nearly every problem I had with the interfaces of earlier Xbox360 mixes. The interface was clean, and very fast, and has one of the least annoying announcers since the Max guy. If only it hadn't added new annoyances in the form of giant arrow explosions, tiny step judgements, and the chains/groove triggers. Games on that console just can't win.

I think he means the million-seller thing that gets special packaging and pricing. Maybe it's because he wants it for $20.
I don't think the Wii Games have that thing yet. PS2 games doPost #3884 · Posted at 2011-10-24 07:25:14am 13.8 years ago

It's only 30 bucks new! And worth more than that IMO. It doesn't make sense to hold out for months to save 10 bucks.

It's not about price, I was referring to an updated version of the game.
But low price is good price.

You really think they'll make a revised version of this game? What for? The last console DDR game Konami made a 1.1 release of was ULTRAMIX. Because they licensed the music for the United States and forgot the rest of North America. :V

Dummied-out data for at least 4 DDR 2010 songs (In The Zone, Private Eye, ????, ????).
Game companies do this all the time. Didn't DDR (2001) for the US PlayStation have ROCKBEAT in the disc but is completely inaccessible? Quote: mageman17
The songwheel's default sort is not alphabetically correct (but it does give off the X2 AC vibe, which didn't have the X2 songs on alphabetical order).
That's not a quirk, or atleast I don't think that is.Quote: mageman17
In the disc, there are two sets of music. One for long version and another for short version. Both versions however, are of the long version. when the short version is chosen, the game simply seeks (if the steps don't start at the beginning of the song) and fades-out at the end.
Not for the Konami Originals. They get "true" DDR-edits including a non-fading ending.Post #3890 · Posted at 2011-10-24 11:16:06am 13.8 years ago

The default sort for a mix has never been alphabetical. It hasn't been for X2 AC, X AC, SuperNOVA2 AC, SuperNOVA AC, Extreme AC, etc....
In X2, only old mix folders are sorted alphabetically.

While I've always preferred each section to be alphabetical myself, I can see the logic in setting things by difficulty or using a unique order to appeal more to new or inexperienced players who won't want to move too far from the default song (if at all).

Yeah, I was gonna ask somebody to record the RDA interface. I heard it becomes unavailable after unlocking all songs.
Thanks, SupremeX.
EDIT: OMG! Clean mp3 of RDA BGM. Has anyone ripped that song yet?

Yup, goes away unfortunately. Although it's possible to swap the interfaces with the normal song select I believe. I'll try that tomorrow actually. xD

What, you mean bring the pretty RDA background back? D8 I hope that's what you mean, I'd love to bring it back, it was so pretty.

Well, if you've ripped your disc to a USB Loader, possibly. The background files are likely swappable as everything else so far has been. xD

I can see why they'd probably remove it once everything was unlocked though maybe they could have left it and maybe even put in some extra post-standard completion challenges for it?
Also the song and artist font looks SO bad there! It's even worse with the red colour and looks so amateurish. D:
I like the purely numerical step list though. While I'm partial to a visual scale I think that it looks a lot more neat, straightforward and professional like that, plus it would allow Konami to go up to 99 if they so wished (or at least beyond a 20 if there was ever a reason to).

They could always balloon the scale again, turning 15s into 20s. Then we'd have Beginner charts that go up to 5. :<
