Wait, the original DDR had courses, right? Granted, they were nonstop courses...

But no edit mode.

Maybe we'll have couples back :O

I think they introduced NONSTOP courses at 3rdMIX.

Well, I'm not sure. I have DDR for PS1 (the US version, I know it came after 3rd mix, maybe even after 4th mix, but still) and it has courses. Not sure if it's what you mean, though, considering how it kinda steals the theme from 2nd.

The first DDR with Nonstop mode was Solo Bass Mix, then 3rd Mix.

The first that had Edit Mode was DDR 2nd ReMix, which could only create edit data for DDR 2nd Mix Link Version.

i think USB from what i saw on some PS3 launch party videos
EDIT: around 0:09

With that being said, I'm hoping that USB is the main use for the controller. Reason being is I'd be estatic to use my colbalt fluxes for this game.

If not, for gods sake PLEASE use bluetooth. I don't want any of these lagtastic USB dongles for every plastic controller.

Found some images of CLUB MODE in the Flash file:

Also I just realised that the O and X buttons are flipped on the pad compared to legacy pads:

Wow. Why did they have to swap X and O? That'll just confuse a million people.

Now, those who play the japanese versions of DDR games will keep pressing X instead of O.

I think this won't be released in Japan. Gee, whatever happened to the plan to "truly-globalize" DDR when SN1 was released??? To be perfectly honest, I don't even know why do I still keep track of these games...

not really. i mean, its 100% unnecessary but in US PS2 games both X and O select. if this is the same, then it still wont matter which one you hit.

In Japan, O means accept, and X means reject, so if they import it, they'll still be using their right foot to go through menus, because both the in-game buttons and the pad buttons are reversed.

I can understand why Japan would refuse the use of DDR X2 materials in an american game.
Excuse me, why is this a good thing?
98% of teenagers do or have tried caving into peer pressure. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, DO NOT copy & paste this in your signature.

Another thing, Hold SELECT to exit stage; hasn't it always been hold START?

Excuse me, why is this a good thing?

Because it probably means a region-free DDR X2 cs in January or March?

Seriously. Adding to this, there are already some DDR X2 songs like CG Project on DDR S. I saw my friend playing it and went "WTF how is this out already?"

Those screenshots don't look to bad.... lol i kinda like the silouhettes....

I just can't believe how much they steered away from the traditional DDR with this. I've always though why change a formula that works well?

I still think its funny that you can't read your judgments due to the fact that they are covered up by the arrow explosions

When the game comes out someone needs to upload a full list of all songs, including prices and foot ratings.

I hope there are some dancemania licenses that we haven't seen in a while. Young Forever, Never Gonna Make, and Pink Dinosaur from 4th mix all sound appealing.

I wouldn't count on anything dancemania making a comeback. I've been hoping for a few to be revived myself, it's possible that well see it as dlc though

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!"
I'm not sure if I wanna get this anymore. Since there seems to be a lack of CHALLENGE difficulty, Edit Mode, and Doubles Play, that upsets me.
