We were all expecting so much better for the PS3, but I guess they screwed this up so bad.

At least the Wii version keeps to DDR traditions without crappy looking arrows and concepts. The Wii version I'll be getting over the PS3 version.

The Wii & 360 (some 360 games are region free) are region locked so they can't play foreign games, the PS3 isnt

It continually baffles me how they manage to handle DDR in North America in truly the worst way possible. Mind-boggling.

From my understanding, NAOKI was in charge of DanceEvolution, I'm not sure how involved he was for DDR PS3.

As I recall, he was the producer of this version. At least in more of a capacity than he ever has been in the past.

Let me clarify this.

The Nintendo Wii has hardware regional lockout.
The Xbox 360 (and original XBox) has software regional lockout (regional lockout is on the discs themselves). DVD regional lockout is still present.
The PlayStation 3 has no regional lockout for GAMES ONLY. Blu-Rays and DVDs are still region-locked.

For the Xbox 360 (and the original Xbox), some games are region-free (Street Fighter Anniversary Collection comes to mind).

Back on topic, does anyone know if the dance mats connect via USB or Bluetooth on the PS3? It's not stated in the manual.

It looks as though they've removed our gimmick-less NONSTOP and CHALLENGE course modes too. Here's hoping you can turn off the stupid gimmicks in CLUB MODE.
