You sure they're purposely inflating the difficulties? I could see osaka being a 16 only because its steps aren't as straight forward and there's the speed ups/slow downs that make it really tricky to read. Then again maybe they just misrated it.

Difficulty might be based on the most difficult of the three charts, and if that's the case than I can see that as Type 3, ver. C is a pain.

It's hard to even argue ver A or ver B being a 15, let alone a 16. If constant speed changes/stops were that important to them, Pluto would be rated a 17.

And still the hardest chart in this game so far is Sumidagawa , which has been unlocked what feels like forever.

There really is no chart where osaka EVOLVED is a 16. Maybe the EXTRA STAGE life bar, but in normal play it's definitely no more than a 15. X3 has a real difficulty overrating issue. Or in the case of sumidgawa, underrating.

I'm also a bit surprised they gave a groove radar for the song. The charts are so varied I would assume they gave an empty one like they did in X2 for Roppongi. At least with Tokyo, the charts are all pretty similar.

I can't wait to see the doubles of these charts, especially vers. C/type 3 [I swear, are all the C/3 versions of the evolved songs the best?]. I feel a lot of these HP crossovers are for the doubles players specifically, which is a good thing.

WTF??? Osaka a 16??? It's only 14 material. That will be the easiest 16 of all time.

Why is beginner a 9!? It is NOT as hard as VD, not even FELM.

A little off-topic, but even FELM- & VD- are quite a difference in difficulty, even though they're both 9's. I'd say FELM is about a high 4/easy 5 on the old scale (straight 200BPM fourth's basically) and VD's probably a high 6/easy 7 (186BPM 8th runs).

The X-Scale is seriously flawed at this point.

There was a change in the WII version compared to the PS3 version. Look it up.

And here I was thinking KONMAI could do something right in this new Extra Stage tour.

I always have thought that all the Evolved songs should have 15 as their rating (except L.A.). None of them seem too much harder or easier than that, they just rest in that comfortable 15 territory with the likes of MAX 300, the only difference being the gimmick of different versions of the same song.

Not to be cynical, but I don't consider using two songs that are years old to players as 'new' extra stage songs to be doing something right .
