The question I have is whether the PS3 DDR is being done the normal CS port team or by the Universe team. I was under the impression that DDR PS3 was basically a PS3 port of what's to be the latest Xbox 360 DDR.

Have you noticed that in the screenshots, they've removed the "OPTIONS" below the difficulty? And did not even mention how to even get to the OPTIONS menu in the manual?

Maybe they took out options entirely.
No speed mods or anything. D:

Maybe they'll do it like in HP3 were you have to go into the game options to change song options.

Are you sure they weren't showing clips from CLUB MODE where "gimmicks" are thrown at you?

What about the QUICK MENU during the song selection?
The manual certainly does not do a good, or even a decent job of explaining anything about in-game options.Confused

It doesnt look like we have Marvelous timing either. Only Perfect, Great, Good, and Miss

I'm sure there are mod's because under the dancing tips it states this:

Increase the speed of the dance Arrows to make certain songs easier to play and improve your
timing skills.

Just throwing this idea in the hat, so people can draw their own conclusions :

This is the first region-free DDR game.

Japanese companies always hate releasing their games / DVDs / Blu-rays in America within 6 months of the japanese release, because Japanese players can import the game from America much cheaper than they could ever buy it for in Japan. PS3 games are still around $90 in Japan.

There's no excuse for releasing such a crippled game, but I can understand why Japan would refuse the use of DDR X2 materials in an american game. They could have given us a DDR Universe 4, with no Konami Original songs whatsoever, and it would probably have got a better reaction than this did.

Actually I remember a few years back there was a misconception of the Wii's region locking in a press release, but that's another story.

Actually I think I can remember hearing that the 360 was partially a region free system, but developers could lock their game to a region if desired.
