Does anybody else find the new announcer extremely annoying, I can barely stand it, the stuff he says is just cheesy!

It is rather annoying after a while.

Some quotes I find annoying include:

COM-BO WOM-BO!
WE'RE MOVING, WE'RE GROOVING -> etc...

Probably some others, but I've forgotten now, I suppose it will take some getting used to.

It's mainly do to the fact that they didn't get a chance to fix him since the location test. They'll probably reduce his cut-ins in the AC version, but it looks like the US CS was sacrificed .

Oh well. Options>Sound>Announcer>Off.

It's what I do most of the time anyway. Anyhoo, picking it up on Friday, and can't wait to jump right in!

and for the real reason i'm posting right now, to thank the person who pointed out that holding the confirm button in SMM goes to the mod menu. you've saved me much grief. you're the DDRX equivalent of the RB2 load screen that told me about the extras menu. speed mods in RB FTW.

I turn the announcer off anyway, so it's no change for me. I don't hate the announcer, he just talks too much.

I don't like the new cut of Butterfly.. it's sound like they just quickly mixed up parts of the song.

The announcer is so lame most of the time its past the point of being funny. If they just talked less it wouldnt be so bad. I really hope they cut it down for the ac and jp cs

Now if only that would turn him off in the menus and score screen. >_<

Playing through Rage's story and I just finished Ep 8, but Ep 9 is in grey and I can't select it.... I've done everything up to this point on Advanced....

Is there something I'm not doing right?

Did you clear ALL of Emi's and Zero's advanced episodes yet? I was able to complete Rage's SMM after doing that.

Is there something wrong with the announcer?, everybody is turning he off, but I can't find something annoying, I still don't have the game but I have seen some videos.

The thing wrong with the announcer is that he exists. No matter who they picked, no matter what the voice, no matter what they said, no matter the variety of things said, there would be a substantial number of people turning off the announcer. Just think about how much you like having the same person interrupt the music every 20 seconds to say something. Encouraging or not, it's still an interruption, and for some people, that grates after a while.
