95% of comments there got negative impression regarding the license song selection and their stepcharts. (Not really surprising)

Must... ignore... stupid people...

I've griped about licenses... pretty much every time they've surfaced, but this game is different. There is so much other stuff on here that you never have to listen to them. They've broken a freaking record of most songs on a DDR game, if I'm not mistaken... at least for America.

There is nothing wrong with putting Justin Bieber in DDR for American marketing purposes, imo, if they're steppable. They picked like his most popular songs for this game, which is nice. It's not like they were like "yeah we got Kesha" and we're like "w00 Tik Tok" and then buy the game and go "wtf is Animal." Who even bothers with a license like that? :P

I will take just about anything E-rated over Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Ughghghgh.

Animal is a good song.

Double points for being the Billboard remix instead of the original (which I believe is so much better than the original). I really think Konami should start using remixes and non-singles more often.

On a side note, why reveal the song list for licenses now? They've already been available for about a month before the game's release. I've just about given up on the Facebook page, nobody cares about constructive comments there anymore Cry
I just came to say hello.

Didn't mean to say it was bad; just meant that it's not Kesha's most popular song. Most nubs like me didn't know of its existence until it was revealed on DDR, so it just seemed like a weird pick as far as appealing to a mass audience goes.

Who cares if a song is popular or not?
If it sounds good, then good.

Even if license songs are steppable, those charts were just meh. Why are they always a trend when they come to making stepcharts for them? If they can't play kick-ass Expert charts, they can play easier charts. I'm not disappointed if i can't play S-EXP charts of harder RDA songs, but at least easier charts are made playable. Unlike some songs with Expert charts (11 or 12 maximum), i think majority of us don't bother to play Difficult stepcharts.

They didn't use the Billboard remix, they used the original. But I agree they definitely need to begin using remixes again. There's some fantastic remixes of popular music, and this would allow them to have songs like Hey, Soul Sister actually work in a dance game.

Rather than using Missing by Everything But The Girl, they could've used the trance cover by DISCOVERY. Speaking of covers, they need to get NRG Factory doing more covers; Genie in a Bottle was totally amazing.

I need a great remix of Rolling in the Deep in the next CS game.

I understand that this is the US CS version, but we need more J-pop too. I wish Konami would snag someone like Yoko Ishida to fill the void that BeForU and specifically Riyu Kosaka left us.

Yes. I was so happy they chose this over Tik Tok.

They really couldn't have chosen any of the Ke$ha singles from Animal without bumping up the game to T probably lol. But yeah, Animal is a great pop song.

Thanks for reminding me why it's a good idea to NOT have a Facebook account. I would have gone ballistic on all these clowns. If Konami goes back to their old ways for next year's mix, I know who to blame.
I don't play simulators. Only the real official games.

Trolls will be trolls. I for one, think Konami did a fantastic job with DDR II. I really don't play for the visuals or characters, so the most important aspect about ANY music-based game is obviously the music. So what do you do when you have terrible music? You got a terrible game, right? But since we got a TON of songs, a lot of good ones, too, certainly along with it having smooth framerates, makes for a good game, right?

We want Konami to go back to their old ways. We're hoping this game signals the end of the new ways.

It's official. I love Diamond Night! Happy

Had fun playing Doubles again today. Some fun Difficult and even Basic charts. I think it was Heartbreak where the flow was quite nice on Basic. Rocket Expert was good fun too. Love the stream from the first pad to the second.

"Let's get this movin'"
i finally had some time to play DDR II.
-
Impressions:
-
Graphically: Pros: Characters, with the exception of Mii, and the ending is so sweet. Cons: The video not in background.
-
Game: The game is still so good as the X2 Arcade, Double Plays really does the trick. Miss the Shock Arrows (me dunno why not get implemented) - The options' selection screen is too complex.
-
Music:
Licences: the music preference differ from each player. I really disliked all the licences.
Collaboration Songs: The good part of this. I feel future.
Full Songs: Not counting licences, some full version songs has some repetitive steps, altough the song itself is really awesome (Sky is the Limit) - I hope they don't get so boring as 5th Mix Long Version.
X2 songs: The best deal of the song list. Including "Theory of Eternity".
New songs: I feel Naoki's touch in almost all the songs. "Unbelievable" from Jun is really good and i love this song. LondonEVOLVED is pretty nice. Keeps the evolution of the -EVOLVED songs.
-
Stepcharts: some kinda bored, specially full versions and Licences. Konami Original Songs saves the day!
-
Overall: The game is really good. Still misses the Edit mode for AC, because the online step editor got discontinued/non updated
-
By the way, i just unlocked MEI, so its still a long way to finish.

Rena:
By the way, where's my present?
