Got the game. Having fun so far.

Couple things I felt like posting about:
Tried Doubles for the first time in a VERY long time. Rocket's chart had a nice transition at one point.
Not a fan of the Whip My Hair chart. :/
nc's new song disappointed me. No way as good as Be With You (Still Miss You). Anyone like it?
Diamond Night sounded SO good from the preview I heard.
Did anyone else think it was a little weird not to have music on the Main Menu when you first started the game?

HP3's hand marker incorporation is NOT better than HP2's. In terms of recognition yes, but in terms of structure/charts? Definitely not. It was a lot weaker and was a disappointment all in all.

Don't worry, nobody likes it. It's really awkward to be honest.


Yeah, I was really concerned the first time I booted up the game. I thought my Wii stopped working until I got to the dance modes.

I wouldn't mind that, seeing as how I missed Max's stream. If I tune in, would you do a couple of long versions? That would be nice


On a side note, I haven't seen any professional reviews from any gaming sites yet. I'm thinking of making a review in the next week (Seeing as how I only have a million DDR points, could get the rest later).

I think it's ok, but nothing special (HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA PUN). Be With You (Still Miss You) was definitely better, but generally I find nc ft. <vocalist> stuff to be nowhere near the level of other nc. Fairly generic R&B.

I don't Naoki has recovered since this happened. Poor guy...

Oddly enough, no music on the main menu screen didn't bother me one bit. It reminded me of the PS2 ones prior to X, right down to the sounds they used, in that the majority of them didn't have menu music either. Seemed deliberate to me.

Whip It's chart doesn't really bother me all that much. The only thing that sorta irked me was how slow it was.

Spice Up Your Life is going to be a hard one to put away, especially the long version.

As much as I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber, BOTH the charts are suprisingly good. Even if I'm playing the long chart.

That Diamond Night is going to be a pain. They must really love those roppongi Evolved shuffle gallops as this is the third song I've seen to feature them rather prominently. The last one being Share The Love on 2010.

Sakura Storm is a bastard. It's fair, but a bastard. Would've PFC'd easily if it weren't for getting a little overzealous on a crossover and getting a good.

Something Special was a sightread PFC. The long version at that. Doesn't sound like nc at all, but I like it. At least the chart is more interesting than that of Be With You.

Man, there's SO much to play in this game. I still have yet to even get through the licenses on foot, let alone much of anything else. Starting to dive into the new KOs, but the X2 stuff keeps calling my name. Especially Gold Rush ATM. I will AAA that song.

As for HP2 vs. 3 and hand marker timing, HP3's were better synched though they were stricter. All of HP2's when I went back to it after HP3 seemed to require you to swing/thrust just a hair later than the normal timing.

So far, still enjoying the game even if sometimes the amount of content feels overwhelming.
