I don't know why everyone hates the license songs so much, I for one think the ones we know about are pretty good. I for one am sick and tired of all the complaining about the Licenses being too "Mainstream", it's getting really old. Anyway, the songs that I'm freaking out about at the moment are Bad Romance (I'm one of Gaga's Little Monsters so my being excited about this one is obvious), I've Got You (I REALLY like Leona's other song My Hands that got to be the theme for Final Fantasy XIII outside Japan), Let's Get Away (because it's catchy), Plastic Beach (I LOVE Gorillaz since I first heard Feel Good Inc.) and most of the other songs.

it has a lot to do with them picking horrible songs. stick around, you'll see. i've seen people go insane when a good license is announced. anyone remember when they confirmed moonlight shadow for UM2? DDRFreak went nuts. same with bye bye baby balloon in UM3. also with cartoon heroes, butterfly upswing mix, captain jack, against all odds, and every other license originating in a japanese release that made it into extreme 2.

so yeah, when they give good licenses you wont see people hate them. people dont hate licenses, people hate shitty music and songs that dont fit DDR.

Also check out how people freaked out when MUSIC FIT's licenses included two DANCEMANIA CLASSICAL SPEED Songs.

I'm not hatin'. But I think Dare would have been better for DDR, IMO.

I think if DDR now handled by KONAMI USA first , the licence songs will be always not awesome.

But if handled by KONAMI Hawaii / Japan, the licence songs will be more better. (Dancemania added on)

I remember Universe 3 have better licence songs than this DDR.

Doki Doki Panik MIx feel uplifting and enjoyable than "slow and lazy" songs that have less than 100 BPM.

You can see now all licence songs are dominated with actual artist, not by cover artist neither with Any Remix subtitle.

DDR X maybe exception but starting from X2 USA / HP3 the licence songs going worst.

That just my opinion about KONAMI USA trend on this year.

I LOVE the licenses and I, too, am tired of people complaining about their inclusion. Having said that, this is a weak list, especially in light of what HP3's list was like.

Oh, and I also agree on DARE. A number of music games in the last few years have borrowed songs from one another, and in this case, I wish they had chosen that instead. (Mind you, I haven't heard Plastic Beach yet, so we'll see.)

"Revolution"
Of those licenses, I'm most looking forward to Love Like This and So Fine. I always thought those two could make good DDR songs. Not too thrilled about Hey, Soul Sister and I'm Yours, though. I did laugh a bit from seeing We Are Family.

Overall, the list could be interesting. As for the songs I haven't heard yet, I'll judge them when I play them.
Music is always running in my mind... Everyday, songs old and new come to mind.
...
I wonder how a DJ Hero-esque mix of an AFRONOVA medley and Fascination MAXX would sound...

On another note, it does not say at all how you unlock songs. I think it's back to the "play more to unlock more" system...

This just got me to freak out even more then I already was for this game, thank god I don't have school on the day it comes out so I can spend the entire day playing it and unlocking the songs. As for the DLC songs, I really freaking hope that L'amour et la liberté (Darwin & DJ Silver remix) will be one of them, because it's been pretty much 4-5 years since I first played that song in Stepmania and loved it, and if it's not gonna be in this game I will be a very angry llamaMad.

"DINGDONG♥HEARTS"
Page 11:

FREEPLAY MODE
This represents the arcade equivalent experience of DanceDanceRevolution.

Konami can't say that without shooting themselves in the foot. All regions have the X-scale ratings from DDRX, while this game uses the old scale. It's as if they know no one bought DDRX AC.

wait. fuck.

Edit: hahahaha, the warranty states I have 90 days to return the game to the company for any faulty errors. I'm sure the typos can be considered terrible workmanship :V

So no special mode for unlocking songs, I guess it's fine for those who prefer the old system, but I did like a mission based mode to unlock stuff. To each to their own I guess.
