ITG Accomplishments Thread

If a booting is needed I do hope the motherfuckers are shown the exit Dave Grohl style. Sorry, but I feel so strongly about this it I became bitter towards the dance game community. I made an exception for ZIV because it seemed to be a chill place and it is a chill place, I should stop assuming here is like DDR:UK/AIJ/YouTube/whatever.

On topic (I think, lol):

Today or tomorrow I will give my home pads another chance, but honestly, I think one of my CFs has definitely perished. Sucks really because I was making such rapid progress in doubles (I could pass up to 8 before this shit happened -_-). I'd love to play again, but honestly, I reckon it's game over for me when it comes to ITG, my home pads won't behave, the machine 2 hours from me (Gold Rush) crashes with memory cards and Portsmouth's machine is also fucked. Maybe it's time to move on and find other hobbies? KB play will remain for a while though.

I need to try playing Fer Sure again. I never play it at the arcade because there's little kids and parents there and it's kind of an explicit song, but I don't like Stepmania that much.

Wow, nice Infernoplex score. I still can't pass that one. I'll try it again though along with Operation Evolution.

I hate the Soapy Bubble chart. I sometimes wonder how I passed it. The only 10 I could never pass was Vertex2 on hard because of it's speed. The speed in Vertex at the end is also whats keeping me from passing it on expert(if I could do it, then I will have all the 12s on ITG1 passed unless you count Euphoria which I heard was switched to a 13).

Might get to play on a (From what I herd) a pretty good ITG machine soon, so I'll try to get some more scores in!

I only have Vertex Expert to clear on ITG 1, I could do it with a C mod or the no mines mod but otherwise I'd need some training to basically learn the song and it would be seriously boring (I'd rather learn Pluto Relinquish Challenge)

Holy cow! So you haven't gotten Vertex either? I'm just trying to memorize the end.

Maybe I should give this one a shot.

Join the club lol, I also can't pass it. I tried it twice in a row last year (2.5x Overhead and 2x Overhead), but to no avail, I just can't hack that ending. Also tried it earlier on this year on 2x Hallway, failed at the beginning but I could read the ending with that. O_o

My friend could play the song on x3 speed really easily(WTH?) and I have to play x1.5 because the rest of it is just too slow to read at x1. But because the end is too fast on x1.5, I'm going to have to memorize it. I have this same problem with Pluto the First :heaI actually got to the very end last night though) and Max period on DDR because reading insanely fast speeds is my weakpoint.

I have the stamina to probably pass up to 13s or even 14s, it's just the comprehending the chart section that I can't get down.

Anyone have any good tips for learning to play flat-foot like Mad Matt and all those other pros? I can't get the coordination down, no matter what I do. I mean, it might be because I'm playing on an Afterburner pad and not an arcade one, but not being able to bracket or flat-foot is going to really slow me down when I start playing 13+ songs.

It took me ages to learn (and I mean ages) how to get flatfooting down, it's just lots of practise really. Before I carry on I feel this needs to be addressed, apologies to those who already know this:

- Flatfooting = minimalistic movement. Unlike playing on your toes, you use your heel to hit arrows too.
e.g. Mad Matt passing Extratone Pirates
- Bracketing = rocking back and forth on the brackets to hit the arrows
e.g. Mad Matt passing OML.

That != cheating hands however, it's called bracket stomping if you want to be anal about it. Lucie does this very well, I find it quite hard haha.

To give you an idea of how much I've progressed with flatfooting (and hopefully prove that you don't have to be elite to flatfoot ) I'll show some past vids of my technique.

I made a silent board for my Pad and tested it.
No one complained.
Maybe they just were not at home...
I hope they were and my silent board helped so much that they don`t hear me anymore.

I have absolutely no stamina anymore and my footspeed that was becoming better every time I played it like...not there anymore... my feet really didn`t want to move as I wanted them to today.
But it think it will come back

+ I played flat footed from very beginning on... I never played on my toes only...
But difference in how big the steps are is really big.

Good job, if you passed Johanna (shut up) no bar, I bet you can do some of the songs you played on Hard in the Expert level. Give them a try ;) , specially Utopia Expert, I know you can pass it.

Play Utopia expert at x2.5, that's my main speed on this one. (Then again, I play on slow stuff, maybe x3 would work better for you; I started out on x2, but that's too crammed for me)

Yep if you're pretty much not used to the stepchart then I'd suggest x2.5 as well.

I can`t read slow. Mh, my last try of Utopia Expert is 2 Months ago, so maybe I could pass it now (That stupid 16ths run, you know?)
I played the song on Hard cause I wanted to star them + it was warm up.
I can`t star 9s and 10s , so But I will try to star some 9s soon.
Johanna is not really 11. score is fucking Bad, even for no Bar. But whatever, I`ll improve it.
At the moment I play a lot of 9s... need to get my lost stamina back.
I`ll try official 11s at the end of the week. Now I`d die halfway cause lack of stamina.

Wow, nice job! First doublestar on a song on hard is actually pretty good. I probably would have gotten my first doublestar a lot earlier if I played on a hard song. I got my first tri-star on a hard song though, probably won't get too many of them because the sync on the PS2 version is messed up. I'll have to wait until I get to the arcade. (One more year!!!!! I can't wait that long!!!!!)

Umm... I actually had my first ITG session in weeks because I've been stressed and busy.(My grandfather is currently in hospice care, so I've had to go back and forth places) I didn't have too many accomplishments because of the heat either, but when I played yesterday, I was doing a lot better. I started eating healthier too, so maybe that's helping as well.

I never got any pix, but I raised my Utopia score to 87.xx% or something like that and I got my Delirium score up to 88 or 87 as well. I also re-passed Hardcore of the North too, but I still need to get back to playing Tell. I'm not too sure about how I'll pass Euphoria or Vertex though. I'm still trying to memorize the end to Vertex, and I absolutely hate Euphoria(not a fan of the song), I've heard it's a 13 because of all its jumps. And I tried Pandemonium on both hard and expert and I seriously don't know how people can pass either of those.

Oh, I played July hard yesterday without the bar, and actually got a pic for this one.

There might be hope for me yet...
