At least as of before Pie-kun's post, back on page 17, Darkstorm091 gave Last Burning 1 more point than intended, causing incorrect point totals (as it wasn't divisible by 15). Not that it'll change the results.

"ya did good, kiddo" |
For the record, coolsong is only awarded to songs I didn't already like.
Always smiling:
My only sightread AAA of the pack lol
Very well done. The patterns remind me of JANEJANA lol.
Definitely like something you'd see in a real DDR song, right down to that one doublestep near the end.
-----------------
Call my name:
I liked the
a little more than the
. It was also very slightly off, but since you used ctrl+r for the ending, it turned out to be the only part that was pretty much perfect. When I do things like that though, I use 64ths so the arrows don't end up multi coloured.
I feel like such a jerk for repeatedly pointing out when something is off, but it really does legitimately affect my vote...
The opening and closing line is offputting lol, it made me not want to play it a second time, but I did anyway because that's what I do when there's a
together.
-----------------
Darkstorm091's file:
Originally way off, but turned into one of the best simfiles with Telperion's bpms. This was a lot of fun. I felt it could and should have been harder in places.

Seriously, if you're going to play this file, download the synced version. It's very worth it.
-----------------
ChaiN DE/structioN:
Where did you get this song? I really liked it. The chart was great too, but it didn't really stand out. Still a lot of fun.

-----------------
Gemini:
Fun file. It was great
For some reason the jumps felt just right where they were, despite the music not calling for them.
On my non drunk attempt, I somehow got a 6 perfects PFC :V
The song preview also kind of makes this file

-----------------
I'm in love again:
Song's vocals annoyed me. The steps were pretty good, but most of the use of 16ths felt wrongly placed in some way.
-----------------
Intensive Care Unit:
I normally like streams but even though the song choice called for it, it didn't feel very much fun.
The 10 especially, went on for waay too long (615 steps!?)
Also, random gripe, how is the 8 an 8? It has longer stream with more crossovers (and is 10bpm faster than) the original Dead End Expert, definitely a 9.
Oh Renard.
-----------------
Love Magic:
This song really needs to be on DDR.
Unfortunately, you're missing the key ingredient to retro 3rd-mix style charts:
Seemingly autogenned steps.
I see what you did with the
and
steps though, the standard being the slightly simpler version worked well, like this was some event song or something. (hint)
This is a very high quality file. It is also very well synced.
-----------------
Lovin' this feeling:
o_o didn't like the song at all.
I wasn't too sure how to interpret where the steps were leading, so it seemed to contain a lot of spins.
-----------------
Nornir:
You seem very suited to making boss style steps. Take more care in future to avoid doublesteps though, your patterns can seem a little messy at times.
Other than that, I would play it again, and I love this song to death lol.
WHAT 16THS EVERYWHERE EXPLOSION HHHH

-----------------
Not Myself Tonight:
Gets points for including the video. It wasn't my favourite song or video, but it was alright. The steps and sync were really good too, with good flow.
I wouldn't get mad if I accidentally picked this on DDR.
-----------------
Radio Hardcore:
For some reason, the slowdown in the 9 felt a lot cleaner than the one in the 8, the 8's seemed harder to react to, and less fun as a result.
I like the patterns in both though. Good job with this file.
-----------------
Ruti'n:
's mines didn't feel very necessary lol. I liked
a lot though.
suffers from the effect of having a
: it looks like you felt you needed to simplify the rhythms to make it easier than the
.
I felt like this was unnecessary - people who can play
anyway would have been fine with the rhythms, and it ended up feeling like your steps
didn't exactly go to the song here.
-----------------
RYOUSHI NO UMI NO LINDWORM:
This sure does sound like Next Story from Tune Street :V
Great boss song. Would play again.
I'll probably jack up the song to use in a game at some point

-----------------
SA.YO.NA.RA SUPER STAR:
Very nice patterns overall, but it should have ended at the fake ending lol.
The ending EPICLY did not fit, and I don't know if you faded this yourself, but I would have really liked to hear that solo during the fadeout!
(I also couldn't get the video to play
)
-----------------
SigSig:
Wow, this actually is MUCH better than your previous files.
Complaints: The last hold is a beat early. It should have been *jump* *hold* instead of just the hold.
The stream patterns were kind of thoughtless. (Just like a real ddr chart XD)
You ended up putting spins and backfacing everywhere, so I wasn't sure which was a crossover or where to go with the steps,
and resorted to "doublestepping" the whole thing. Which wasn't very hard because of the bpm, mind you, but it would have been nicer if I didn't have to.

-----------------
The black knight:
Had to play this twice due to
and
, and fortunately, the stops made a lot more sense on the 2nd playthrough.
I liked this chart. Flowed well.
-----------------
Timepiece phase II:
Wow, this is SO much better than your old version. Especially the graphics!
The patterns get very fun and appropriate towards the end. It's those jumps. They make the whole file imo. We need to see more stuff like that.

-----------------
Winterbliss:
This was a pretty fun file, and I liked the patterns in the beginning, but as more 16ths came in it got harder to follow.
Ha, obvious cut in ending is obvious.
-----------------
I think the ending of Toy's 2 minutes war is kind of sad. Also, one of the last images is called "death" for some reason ;n;
VOTES:
Again, this was really fucking hard. Please don't hate me

This is exactly how the song actually appears in IIDX, as there currently is no long version. I agree that the ending makes no sense. Blame TAG/Super Star Mitsuru for the major wtf ending.

If we have to justify it, then my reasons for including the ending were :
a) It's faithful to the IIDX version
b) It's what I imagine Konami would do, if/when the song is ported to DDR
c) It allows you to see the shot of DJ at Taka the end of the video (Which is the one thing everyone associates with the song)
d) It's more fun that way!
If I could play this song in the arcade, the first thing I'd think of doing when playing around with friends would be to play the song until the steps finish, shake hands with everyone, run off around the back of the machine, and then make my dramatic return to complete the final stream, to the shock and horror of everyone watching!
I think it's really just more fun to add little touches like that, and this is one of those songs that allows to to add something unique to the steps, which not only makes the song more fun, but actually fits with the music and the video.

Fair enough, I mean it's just my opinion. That and I couldn't get the video to play..
