Ok guys, here is the summary of the Nintendo E3 2009 conference (if ANYONE cares at the moment lol):

- New Super Mario for Wii, multiplayer Super Mario Bros. version, up to four players online, after the level scores are tallied to see who has won first place, new power-up: Propeller suit. You can save friends or leave them behind. Coming Holiday 2009.

- Wii Fit Plus is the sequel to Wii Fit, new features include a “Locker Room” where you can train yourself, new game modes. such as skateboarding, “Perfect 10”, and log jumping.

- Reggie gets on stage, talks about Wii Motion Plus. Wii Sports Resort coming with Wii Motion Plus. A demo of Wii Sports Resort is being shown; skydiving is a new mini game on Wii Sports Resort. Bow and arrow game shown, three-point basketball mini game shown. Available July 2009.

- Red Steel 2 playable ONLY with the Wii Motion Plus.

- Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers announced.

- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days trailer shown.

- New Mario and Luigi RPG for the DS: Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. Already shown in Japan, first time shown in the US. Available in the US and Europe this Fall 2009.

- Golden Sun DS announced. Coming 2010.

- Women’s Murder Club: Games of Passion by James Patterson shown.

- COP: The Recruit shown a shooter/racing game for the DS.

- Style Savvy for the DS shown, a game about boutiques and fashion.

- DSi FlipBook studio announced. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! on the DSi announced and available for download on June 8th.

- WarioWare: DIY announced, you can play set mini games OR you can create your own mini games within the game.

- Beginning Summer 2009, photos taken on the DSi can be uploaded onto Facebook.

- Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks mentioned.

- Wii Vitality Sensor device shown shows your vital pulses, shows your stress level and how this device can help you reduce stress while playing video games.

- Super Mario Galaxy 2 trailer shown.

- The Conduit trailer shown. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles trailer shown. Dead Space: Extraction trailer shown.

- Metroid: The Other M trailer shown. Available 2010.

My thoughs:
Most boring conference i have seen, and i am not saying "seen so far" becuase if Sony just shows up to the conference, they already beat Nintendo's conference XD. Aside from the two new Mario games, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days trailer, and the new Metroid, the whole thing was just snoresville

Sony's conference is coming up next in about 45 minutes. THIS I HAVE TO SEE

I think Nintendo's problem is that they're now catering to the casual gamer and putting the Wii and DS into as many hands as possible rather than selling great, revolutionary titles that make us salivate.

Horrible conference. They should have just shown Metroid The Other M (which is made by Team Ninja/Tecmo if you didn't catch it) and Mario Galaxy 2.

The 4 player Mario looks fun, but it seems like LittleBigPlanet still blows it away. That game NEEDS a level editor and possibly other downloadable Mario characters.

Where was Miyamoto too?

True, they were more into "let's get the consoles into everyone's homes" rather than being "let's showcase some kick ass games that make people wet their pants at the mention of that game".

Meh, whatever, they had their conference, they did their thing, some stuff was good, most was boring, blah blah.

Yeah, good point. I was expecting Miyamoto to come out to announce something big. Granted, I like the idea of another Mario Galaxy, but Nintendo has 3 times in a row given us a 3D Mario game that changed the Mario game in an innovative way. Mario Galaxy 2 is kind of a let down because it seems to be more of Galaxy, which isn't a bad thing, just not how Nintendo normally does things.

But I do really like this new focus on user generated content. Maybe we'll see even better stuff in the future like creating your own tracks in Mario Kart or your own levels in the New Mario Bros. Wii.
