I think private eye is a Noisycroak song. It says it was made by Hideki Sakamoto in the credits, who is a director at NC. Eric Anthony is also the same vocalist from Monkey Punk.

Have to say I'm not impressed with the previews of theKO's so far hopefully the rest are better. I do like let's get away but they all see to generic. Some of the newer screen shoots look nice and crisp. I'm very happy that were less then 3 weeks away though

dreaming can make a wish come true: The preview is...disappointing so far. The vocals are all kinds of weird, doesn't sound like Anna Kaelin at all. The music itself is solid though.
IN THE ZONE: Wow, this was a really shocker...in a good way! Fast paced R&B with some rock elements, doesn't sound like any other U1 song that I can think of at the moment.
Let's Get Away: This song has been shoved down our throats since June, so I'm already a little sick of it. It's better than A Brighter Day, but I'm hoping there will be a "You are a Star"esque NAOKI song to steal the spotlight from this one, as You are a Star did to A Brighter Day.
Private Eye: This song was a lot better than I imagined. The vocaloid-esque vocals make me think of Seiya Murai songs like SCI-FI.
Top the Charts: Easily the best vocals out of all the other songs. Good fast-paced dance track.
Rescue Me: Blech. The least they could have done was have someone remix this song. Vocals aren't bad, but the background is so bland and boring that it really just ruins the song.
I see TAG doing an island themed song and I flinch, thinking of Heatstroke, which is one of the more iffy songs on X2. But Heatstroke's problems have to do with the vocals, the music is solid, so I have hope. I see D-Crew paired with a female vocalist and I squeal.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who's come away with mixed feelings about the KO samples. I totally agree with you on dreaming, Pie. It almost feels flat against the instrumental. And I also agree with you on the vocals in Top the Charts.
And I would LOVE to have another "You are a Star"-esque song. Was one of my favourite KO's. And that's a shame you weren't a fan of Heastroke? I loved that too.

I think we should all stick our hopes on the floor in preparation for konami stomping all over them in a few weeks.
That way if the game turns out to NOT be terrible, then we'll be that much more ecstatic. And if it IS terrible then we'll be like 'oh well that's what we expected'.
I mean I want this game to be brilliant like everyone else but then given that the last few have been pretty naff, I'm not going to get excited till I see the finished product.
