Yeah, im disappointed as well. I was probably the only person hoping for some crazy hard chart a la PRO, but this looks easier than Max 300, not to mention Horatios chart looks like its trying to rip off Vertex .

Truthfully, I don't like anything about what they've done with shock arrows. It looks really cluttered when it takes up all four arrows everytime (especially during Horatio), and really don't like that stormy background. During Horatio , the song has a fun feel because of the bg video, but then during it feels desolate because the bg video is gone.

You bring up a good point; what the hell is up with the cloudy bg whenever there are shock arrows? If it was a little interesting, I could get used to it, but its just dull and drab.

I'll go back through and see exactly which ones. I was playing through SMM and just encountered them along the way.
And it's not just a lag issue between the monitor and PS2, because most of the charts in SMM, I was getting 970k-980k, and 990k on two. A few were between 900k and and 950k. But when I get a C on something dirt easy, and I know I was stepping on the beat the whole time, I kinda think it's synced wrong.

I have different chart views than you. I dislike double stepping, even if it's just 4ths.

The charts rock so far, I've not encountered one new Expert chart that I've yet to like. Though I've mainly been playing SMM anyways .

The use of shock arrows is pretty dumb. All the onis I've seen with them have simply used another chart of the song (or something similar) and added shock arrows. So don't worry folks, no need to touch those ones.

The songs rock as well. I lol'd how both Dance Celebration and Taj He Spitz reference DDR in the lyrics haha. The Tommie Sunshine remix of Taj He Spitz is AMAZING.

I've unlocked EMI:2 and RAGE:2 as well. They are just the SN outfits though.

Dunno why you guys are complaining. First there was complaining that it was just going to be SN2 JP and a few new songs...now that we have a ton of new songs, everyone's pissed?

It's even worse than that. At least in Vertex the steps followed the music closely. In ________ you're only following some of the notes. It's like taking a normal chart, and turning on the insert mines option. >_<

P.S. In before everyone disregards all the new good charts and focuses on Hartio oni and call the game bad (I.E. NGO/DEGRS and SN2)

I went into course mode once. Um...One of the courses had all the (2008 X-edits) in it. You can choose between normal and difficult.

Flight of the Phoenix is a 9 on Expert I haven't tried it.

Venus has an oni chart apparently.

Probably a new one just for shock arrows.

Pie we have discussed this...we know all the ITG eiltists are going to hate this...not to mention the general contempt held for US PS2 versions in recent years...I do have to agree with you, this game gave a hell of a lot more than I ever expected.

For anyone wondering, the "note" noteskin is the same idiocy it's always been. It's not a problem anymore though, because none of the backgrounds I've seen so far match the colors, and there's the screen filter (which I always set to darkest).
Also, no special speed mods. Just the same ones you've always had. No .5x, no 2.5x, no 3.5x, no 4x.
