DanceDanceRevolution (PS3 & Xbox 360) (International)

I checked a "coming soon" booklet at my local Gamestop, and there was no DDR title under the 360 section, so 360 users are most likely out of luck

I guess I'll just have to get the Wii version instead

Did they have the PS3 version under the coming soon thing? I didn't see one last time I went to Gamestop (2 weeks or so ago).

I did see it under the PS3 and Wii sections, but not the 360. Hopefully that will change soon

Not exactly. Nothing has been said about a 360 version yet, so there's still hope
So this also means there a chance of an arcade port. This could be the reason why nothing has been said due to the fact X2 (AC) is still doing unlocking.
OR... It could be Konami giving us a false glimmer of hope

When I went to pick up Dead Rising 2 earlier today, the girl at the register went over the other titles I had reserved. Fallout: New Vegas is there, but she could've sworn I had another game reserved. Oh damn, wait a minute...

According to her, DanceDanceRevolution has been pulled from the 360 list. Not sure if this is just temporary or happening at other GameStop locations or what. Just my experience with GS today.

I don't think it's been cancelled, but at least we're getting Dance Masters/Evolution.

I wonder what the expert 'charts' will be like on that. They'll probably consist of "imitate grabbing bar", "fall down" and then for 8 minutes "have a seizure". Epileptics should do brilliantly, on account of their reactions to flashing lights.

Anyway, as previously discussed, Naoki didn't discount the possibility of a new xbawks one, but primarily konami/he seem focused on dance masters for the time being.
Also as previously discussed, gamestop/ebgames are fucking retards anyway. They'd probably pull any game off its list after it missed the imaginary release date that THEY set 3 times running.

Actually I've noted two times where someone asked Naoki directly about the 360 version and he said that it was still on. I think what happened is the Kinect sidelined it until they get the Dance* games mastered and pushed out. And I still hold my bet that it's an AC port.


I find it unfunny that it seemed that having the game removed from the system made your $5 just about disappear from their records. Did she still find the reservation itself or did she just remember what you had reserved?

I do remeber Naoki saying that. Obviously if he said that it's still on, its gotta be in consideration or production. Let's hope that it will have a different songlist then the PS3 and Wii ones. An arc port would be amazing but i really couldnd't see that happening on the 360

I don't mind the darkened people with the light effects, it's mostly the people at the top that I dislike along with the game text.

I think it would improve the image to basically take the official logo (with the vector dancepad) and tint it red.

Heads up for anyone wanting a Move controller for this game. Toys R Us has B2G1 free on all games/accessories right now. Good way to get Move controllers/subcons for cheap.

So it's a month before this game is to be "released" yet we have no offical release date and haven't heard squat from Konami in a while....

NAOKI has confirmed on his Twitter that the game will be released on November 16th. I asked NAOKI when some new info might be coming and he said they are planning to release more content via the game's website.
