and i'm not trying to derail the thread with this, but its a good thing that not all 14s would be a 10 old scale. its bridging that gap. it was a huge complaint back in the day. you went from so deep/HVAM/cartoon heroes/sakura to paranoia survivor in difficulty. sakura was as hard as the 9s, but not enough to teach you how to do something like paranoia survivor. i even knew guys who passed max300 before paranoia survivor on extreme (IE they werent playing when we didnt have PS and just max300) because NOTHING taught you how to crossover like that. more and more songs seem like they teach you how to do crossovers for paranoia survivor, pure speed for max300, OMGWTFBBQROFL for the PSMO run, etc yet we have a gap that nothing teaches you how to pas an 18. those low end 14s are a god send to those learning how to pass 10s today, no more playing HVAM until you had max300 stamina.
I kind of see Paranoia Survivor as being that bridge back in the day. Those cross overs aren't that hard and the song's base bpm is only 135. I did pass Max 300 before Paranoia Survivor, but today when I can pass 16s, I find PS the easiest of all the old 10s. You just had to keep practicing until you got it.

I just got back from the arcade and played 888 oni twice. I can confirm the steps are the exact same as the ones in Universe 3.
I also have a video which I'll upload tomorrow I guess.

i realize that. thats why i asked that question. if he passed max300 on 6th or 7th mix, i can see how it took 2 years to go to paranoia survivor. if he passed both for the first time on extreme, i dont see how that didnt just take a few weeks to a few months o_o then again, i played it on extreme JP until i could pass it, so maybe thats why i passed both songs in a shorter amount of time (although i had been playing since the 4th mix days my first max300 pass was on ultramix lol)

Be Your Wings, EZ DO DANCE, and Hide-away are all pretty similar in difficulty, but two of them are 10s, and none of them are as hard as Heatstroke or Gotta Dance. Even more more more is pretty easy for a 10.

It should probably be A:B:A (Asian) especially for HK, TW & SG (Probably more Asian country)Fyi. for now, *:*:A, First * remain the same (the region), where the second * means the cabinet you're playing/using (A = HD version, B = Red cabinet)
