Really? I thought SN1/2 had the same timing and they were stricter than Extreme. With the inclusion off Marvelous, I couldn't imagine the timer being even stricter than before.

The timing on Extreme is less strict than SuperNOVA < SuperNOVA 2, and now apparently DDR X is even more strict? I'm all for it. Stricter timing makes the game more of a challenge, score-wise. It's much easier to get a AAA with the updated scoring system, so narrowing the timing windows makes sense.

Great! It's 100% reachable from my destination, a not-so-short walk, a bus ride that passes by the MRT station (and Trinoma, by extension), and i'm there.

BTW, where is quantum located (in the mall) anyway? any mini-guide to help me?

Ummmm... I dunno since I haven't played Extreme for a while now...

@Mageman: From MRT, Go to Trinoma, go inside and walk until you reach the activity center, go to the north parking. cross the street and climb the overpass. There's an entrance at the top(that will lead to SM North EDSA). go in... and turn left to go to the main mall, you pass by the cinemas, then go left, then climb up to the top floor walk straight until the end then turn right.

NOTE: GO THERE BY EARLY MORNING. PLAYING IN THE AFTERNOON IS A RISK BECAUSE CREDITS REACH 20++

Jhopzzzz: It's that popular!!! early morning, as in 8:00 am or so?
Then again, I wouldn't mind playing on an SN2 machine, just to experience playing in the AC after so many years.

Supernova 2's timing seems about the same as Supernova, the only difference being if you vie for more Marvelouses, you'll usually get to adjust your timing once it hits a Perfect before it ever wanes to the Great timing window, plus, SN2 is more on sync. Are you sure X has a stricter timing and it's just not song/screen lag?

If the timing is stricter, it's not a matter of merely adjusting because it's not so easy to narrow your timing, else getting AAA's and FMC's would be a breeze. If the timing of the entire game is slightly early/late, then yes, you just adjust how soon/late you hit the arrows across the board, but a smaller timing window would mean more than just adjusting, but rather, more practice to make sure your accuracy is even more acute than it already is.

No problem....

@Daiz: I'm very sorry if I'm not able to answer your question properly... since I've only played 2 games... My real answer could be see it for yourself(apparently, wait for DDR X to arrive at your country.)

Just see those pictures at the previous page...

somehow, in the back of my mind, we would be one of the countries who'll be getting this late, but...
We do not have a local Konami headquarters here, right?

And to fit in with the discussion, I may have improved my skills thru shadowing, but I might fail the first time, since I haven't taken my
foot skills to the test. But the idea that DDR X has a stricter timing window is very daunting for me.

edit:
jhopzzzz: in case ddr x is occupied, what other ddr machines are there?

JhOpzZz: It's fine, I'm used to people at my local arcade having and spreading bad information so I get very aggitated when someone says something that hasn't been stated before (in your case, you're the first person I've seen to say the timing was stricter in DDR X). I apologize for seeming so pushy Wink

DDR X do not have stricter timing than SN2 , the problem is from screen lag

at Dec-24 , dedicab was launched , it have screen lag , Dec-31 online update fixed this problem

Conversion kit got the same problem but not yet fixed

Hope it will be fixed within few days (because Japan just have Conversion kits launched today)

What? How can there be screen lag on the upgrade kit version? That makes no sense at all.

yes , weird , even though it is using a CRT monitor , there is screen lag

btw , the hardware is different from SN2 , DDR X is a Windows XP based machine
normally , it will have a high chance to auto reboot after encore extra stage or after course mode is finished
I have seen 3 times a day

Oh good, we can confirm the hardware for the upgrade kit, perhaps it is a hardware issue that causes the lag.

I sure hope when X hits America that the build version will include a correction for screen lag.

Perhaps the game was set for any possible lag for the widescreens on the original arcade but not fixed for upgrade kits?

I dunno if that was said before.
