I have to admit they did an amazingly good job on the theme. It reminds me a bit of 9th Style, 10th Style, and DistorteD all wrapped into one. I wonder if they had to upgrade the PC components to support the HD switch.

Sorry, I was raging in a jealous tantrum...I am still one of the few (if not only member here) who believes that IIDX CS will continue someday. IIDX20 tricoro alone is an excellent selling point due to its sheer freshness and beauty; a CS port would expect to make great sales.

I have a strange feeling about Christmas 2012...this time, it feels more probable than prophetic.

Having Nekomata Master as one of the sound directors this time around is one of the best choices that was made for IIDX. He definitely deserves it.

Yup. I think it's a very nice touch. Even the results screen has a little more life to it now. If you listen closely while the applause and cheering is happening, you can hear the faint thumping of bass going on. And the fade-out sound from that screen is a nice touch as well.

Now that I've seen the clear, line-out video of Illegal Function Call, the song itself seems reminiscent of the 5KEY era to me. It reminds me of CRYMSON and the feel of Salamander Beat Crush mix -CRASH MIX-. Along with that video, I wonder if this was all intentional. I could be wrong, though.
