Wow. These songs had better cross over to AC at some point. It seems a lot more KONAMI artist effort is going into HOTTEST PARTY 2 at this point...
Seems doubtful as none of the songs from the original crossed over.

30 licences is looking pretty good. I do hope we see a few more KO's and whatnot turn up so the songlist can surpass the original Hottest Party. I'd like 60 songs please Konami. Why 60? It just sounds like a good number to me.
Also Lesson by DJ again?
If they're using the same song could they at least make it skipable in Groove Circuit or whatever-the-hell-the-quest-mode-is-called please? I KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE FREAKING GAME ALREADY!! Also in my opinion I played worse when trying to follow Scotty D's (dear God I hope in my tired state I said the right name) instructions on that song then when I just played around with a few songs by myself on Basic in Free Play mode.
If a tutorial doesn't tutor you correctly you know there is something wrong.
As a side note the Official Nintendo Magazine here in the UK said in their review that they'd have liked more licences in Hottest Party which I found funny considering the licences came pretty much even to the KO's for once and this title had more licences than most Dancing Stage (and DDR) games generally do. Maybe I should have informed them of this fact?

If Ear Rape by DJ isn't skippable, I will play that level without sound.

Both "Lessons" should be equal so people can easily jump to either the first or second one.

This. Even if they pale in comparison to the number of NM tracks. ポスト #345 · 2008-09-07 11:03:35amにポスト 17.1年前

I actually found the Lesson by a DJ a very cool dance. lol I like the part where there like
Down Down Right
then you hear the people in the background DDR

awesome stuff right there. I wonder what Lesson 2 will be like probably jumps or something. or maybe a remix of the first one
But the 'clever reference' is lost as soon as you play the Dancing Stage version because DDR is unknown as the US and Japanese title of the game to most casual players.Down Down Right
then you hear the people in the background DDR
Also I think that the Lesson By DJ song in this game will be precisely the same song that was in the first Hottest Party. No difference.

What, Lesson2 by DJ? (once again some fantastic grammar there Konami
...unless that's a mistake by Alan). Seeing as it's by a different artist, MC DDR, I remain slightly hopeful it might be a little better than the original.
Point is though other than the basic mechanics of the game, what more can you teach someone?
Also is this new tutorial song going to take up a valuable spot which a proper track could occupy instead?

It appeared on the song wheel along with Lesson by DJ in the HP2 demo at Comic-Con, so I'm gonna say yes.

...although now I have mental images of the two tutorial songs with all level charts and Lesson2 By DJ as a 10 footer which is hilarious.

Depending on how Lesson2 sounds, it could happen. The NA Lesson by DJ has some substantial rhythm for a good 8 footer chart.
The JP version could have 24th runs during the Japanese vocals. :O

The songwheel actually looks a bit out of place with the new colours and effects. Still don't quite get those strange foot markers which look like fruit in the difficulty list.

It's supposed to be a combination of a foot and a hand, since you use your hands too. ;)
