Fire Fire's not unlocked. After you clear it once you can put it in a custom course (with e-amuse + the mobile site) and play that course anytime.

Hmmmm..... well, maniac never went to 20-footer until max 300 was introduced, and I don't believe 1st mix had any 9-footers. Since X was seen as an "anniversary" and X2 is seen as a "revival", maybe they are doing the same here and planning on releasing a possible 19-footer folowe by a 20 later on? (but then that would mean a 19-footer footer in this mix >>)

I've said this a looooong time ago...

...but my guess for a 19 or 20 footer would be a LONG version of a BOSS song, possibly a song that spans over 3 minutes of pure craziness...yet, it keeps it's intensity and balance

I know, I know, Konami isn't THAT crazy enough to pull something like that without making the chart look like crap, but seriously, if some of the most insane songs are just being topped at 18 and they are at around the 1:50/ over 2 minute range, there is NO way you can cram a 19 or 20 footer in that amount of time. Unless you do a DEGRS x100 more steps or something >_>

Besides, now a 19 or 20 footer will be the ultimate test of endurance, step, rhythm, and everything else DDR was made for...so a 3:00+ boss song would pretty much do the job >_>

I'd say new 16s will be Shiny World and Sakura Sunrise Oni, maybe Pierce the Sky also, as they're the easier Replicant-D songs, and New Decade, Possession and Anti-Matter will produce Oni 18s while Valkyrie Dimension will simply be an 18 too on oni, or even worse, it will get a shock arrow-chart!

first, fix'd since max300 is a 10/15, not a 20 :p

second, i do see where you're going, and looking at what konami did we MIGHT see a 19 this mix.

1st mix had 8s
club version had 9s (yes, this came before 3rd)
6th mix had a 10 (although it wasnt rated until 7th mix)
extreme had a 16 (although it wasnt re-rated until X)
SN had the 17s and 18s (although they werent re-rated until X)

so since it took a couple games to get from 8 to 9, 9 to 10, and to exceed 10 i'm going to guess that from SN1 to X2 is a good time period to exceed 18. then again, they might not plan on it at all.

I agree with you. If they do come up with a 19 or 20, than the song would have to be 3 minutes but also unless the whole thing is like that Healing-D-Vision death run for almost 2 minutes, but I don't know if that would be possible seeing as I can't even do that awful stream for 5 seconds.

Yeah, 3min boss songs sounds pretty cool to me IF it's well stepped but...

Why everyone are saying that a 19-20 should be that insane ?
3min long boss song or 180bpm long crossovers run... this is not mandatory.

Summer Speed mix from itg (is a 13' ols scale) could be a 19 easily.
Song is 185bpm and the crossovers are not is stream parts.

Many many songs can be 19/19+ without being more than 2min long or being dumb (Exemple of songs who are hard with almost only speed : Chromatic Blitz, Level 1-1 and many others).

But i would prefer chart using 12th/16th/24th/32th (aka purple arrows and burst). Because we doen't really see this on ddr for now.
Yeah we saw some of those arrows, but most of the hard songs are 4th/8th/16th only + bpm changes. (Or if it's 12th/24th, it's Trigger. And this song is really dumb).

Also, i was a part of the bpm debate few pages ago (because yeah, useless bpm changes are bugging me). But i was dead tired (3 o'clock), anyway...

Cool 888 is unlocked. A bit surprised that it's not a low 19 but that's cool to have an other boss song at the arcade (FELMDemon : I'm not sure that someone will PFC this in an hour xD. But even if someone will do, it doesn't mean that 888 is easy).

Btw, i hope there will be NO for VD. The is good enough and hard enough. will be overstepped or jumps all over the place. Who needs this ? Nobody.
I the first person to say that some charts should have a chart because they deserved it. But VD's chart already follow the music well.
This is not the only song where a chart isn't mandatory.

I still say that the first 19 will be on doubles. It's really hard to make a singles chart that hard without being stupid, but on doubles you can easily up the difficulty without doing silly arrow spam. I'm really, really surprised 888 is in this (and we'll see how the Japanese players receive such a chart). This mix has thrown the most "omg no way" moments in the history of DDR.

You're right btw, S-Expert is a 14. I guess i don't have the chance to try it, as i'm having dinner now. I left the arcade when 8pm strike, & i borrowed a few second at the select music section from my other friend just to confirm the song.
