DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

Something I noticed:

- In MAX1, we got our first 15 (Max 300), but it wasn't official until the next mix where foot ratings were added.
- In Extreme, we got our first 16 (PSMO), but it wasn't official until DDR X.
- In SN1, we got our first 17 (Faxx ), but it wasn't official until DDR X.
- In SN2, we got our first 18 (for regular play, the 18's from SN1 were never fully unlocked outside of Japan), but it wasn't official until DDR X.
- In X2's location test in Japan, we got our first 19 (Possession double, which used to be double), but it wasn't official until DDR X3 (or technically, DDR II).

All the increases in difficulty levels have so far occurred in songs that existed before the rating was revealed. Do you think that our first 20 will be on a stepchart that existed before it was officially a 20? Other thoughts?

It's a DDR machine. They're using a PC, linked the cables to the machine's screen/pads to play stepmania.

Thats one awesome cozy looking arcade they got there. Wish we had arcades like that...or arcades for that matter.

Konami probably isn't enamoured with the whole "using Stepmania on their own cabs" idea.

I think that is actually MICH's machine. KID mentioned on his blog that BROSONI met up with MICH and had a go on his machine. MICH was a Konami top ranker years ago and the machine was his prize.

Wow, get hype.

Though, I wonder if this means that X3 really is just about finished with updates.

If OST is announced now. DDR X3 is just basically DDR 2010 + DDR II plus some new KOs

Oh well.

It was all about second mix mode, which was a huge flop. I'm honestly surprised the remixes from the 2nd mix album aren't showing up. This game is pretty disappointing over all, I can't think of any thing they could do to save it. Granted, didn't the pop'n fantasia sound track release already, yet new songs are still showing up?

pop'n fantasia's OST hasn't even been announced yet.

Do the KO's in 2010 and II total up to 55?

The OST is very confusingly named, they should have just called it DanceDanceRevolution X3 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK with no mention of 2ndMIX at all...

Unless of course there is another side other than X3 Side.

I assume that to be the case. They'll probably release a ~2ndMIX SIDE~ sometime in the future. Haven't the GFxDM soundtracks been splitting the recent releases into 1st season, 2nd season?

But before I even finished typing this message, I realized that they already re-released the DDR 2ndMIX soundtrack. So what would the other side consist of and be called? What does this side consist of? I know they have to put all the new KO's from DDR 2010 and DDR II, as well as new KO's to this game (though they're aren't that many right now).

The only thing that would make me interested on this OST is if there will be a any long versions for any of these tracks: Programmed Universe, I/O or Alstronemia (walk with you remix).

Or if there will be more song updates before the OST release. I know LONDON EVOLVED will appear on this right?

There will be no 2ndMIX side. Toshiba-EMI already released the "2ndMIX SIDE" anyway

There are 49 new non-license songs currently in X3, counting the crossovers (they were on the X2 OST). Add LONDON EVOLVED and some long versions, and you've got the tracklist.

All I hope for now is that Amalgamation and NEPHILIM DELTA should get Challenge charts.

Then move on to the next DDR game.
