My guess for Konami not being afraid of hacks in Japan and Asia is that if any hacking happened over there, it can be easily patched thru an automatic e-amuse update, which we don't have over here.

Very good point.
My guess is that we're going to get nothing. It wouldn't be the first time the overseas market has been screwed by a Japanese developed game.

Im still laughing at the fact they took the time and effort into putting a poll up and getting the results and reading what people have to say yet they didnt intend on giving it us in the first place. Tbh DDR X wouldnt get hacked even remotely as easily as ITG did purely because ITG was based off of soemthign we all have freely available, im 99.9% sure even if someone worked out how to hack songs onto DDR X ac the process in making files compatible would be so complicated and boring (Assuming its a differentn format from ps1 edits here) that nobody would bother doing it.

To sum up, Japanese will get everything, we get sweet FA but they will imagine us as being ungrateful for thinking so because we get "Exclusive licenses" and ill bet we get shafted on that too *points to Sn1 and 2 EU PS2*

Wow people, talk about putting the care before the horse.

1. They have not said they are not using USB. They said they are going to try their best to implement USB, but there is a POSSIBILITY that they may have to use something else if any issues come up, and that they will inform us if that happens.

2. They have said nothing that even remotely suggests that they are going to scrap the whole edit thing altogether.

So wow, calm down. Save your freaking out for if/when it actually happens.

Sorry bout that i jumped to a bit of a conclusion there i just read the last 4 pages a few minutes back and read the whole letter , id HEARD they were scrapping it altogheter.

Personally if they ACTUALLY give us alternative methods of edits i wont complain but whatever that is i have no idea as i already know Konami europe dont really want to add support for ps2 memory cards incase they break (From what ive been told by james at konami england over the past years anyway)

sorry, but i think we're all trying to look more at the negative side so we will be pleasantly surprised if they DO give us something. konami's track record has been slowly going downhill since EX2(talking about the american games). after SN2 being quite a bit better than SN1 i figured it might have just been a slump, but X wasnt anything special. then, like i pointed out(even if it is another branch), they have been promising 60 FPS on the xbox games since UM2. if we expect what we have been getting, and actually get something, thats going to be great for us with no real disappointment. if we expect the whole edit data thing to pan out and it doesnt, there is disappointment. i dont care what the format is, i just want a complete game, and i personally feel like konami hasnt delivered a complete game to the US audience since EX2.

so yeah, i'm expecting just what we got out of SN2 AC. great boss songs with horrible charts, great mid level songs with decent charts, a hand full of songs that really stick out as something special, and a code unlock system. nothing more than that, and if its better than last years game, great. if there are more features(we already know oni is gone, whoop-de-damn-do, now what the hell am i gonna do with this game after i'm bored of just playing songs?), great. i'm just not getting my hopes up for the US version, and i have even lower expectations for the EU version, those guys get screwed left and right.

i HIGHLY doubt the toy has a hidden message about the game...

We could always hope for something like that, but then again what are the odds of that anyway? It would be interesting to find out that a code exists because it would spin the wheels of our minds as to what it may unlock, despite multiple statements that no hidden songs were found through ripping the CD for MP3s. I am still surprised that the code to unlock MEMORIES was released through Burger King as opposed to hacked as I had thought.

well i guess konami figure out that people where hacking the game(EXTREME) that they gave out the code to play the hidden song
and this time they made sure that no one can hack the game(X) to get the the full songlist
i guess that they will give us another code too
and i was surpised too about the code because i never heard about it until i went looking for cheats/how to get songs for EXTREME
im may ask to go get subway and get the kid meal to get that toy to see if they let me get the kid meal or i will ask my little brothers to get it

Queen-Zukin: There is a chance...but still, we have hacked the game in order to get the mp3's and all the we found were those songs, that's it...

...however, i give this a 50/50 chance that Konami may have hid some songs in the game, and the only way to unlock them is through these "codes" being released by Subway on one of their toys...

...but still, i just wouldn't think a code will be in the toy, i mean, the only "hidden message" it will reveal is probably something like "Way to go!" or "Your On Fire!" or "DDR X is awesome!"...those kinds of messages...
