So I played DDR X.
It was terrible. Laggy, insensitive pads etc. The game itself was fine but the terrible machine ruined it. I did find a decent ITG2 dedicab, however.

So it turns out Betson isn't entirely to blame for the terrible DDR X US cabinets. The new cabinets were actually designed by a company called Raw Thrills, the company responsible for arcade abominations such as Guitar Hero Arcade and The Fast and the Furious. I'm sure if Betson designed it themselves it would be far from perfect but infinitely better than the shit cabinets Raw Thrills is producing.
