I'd be willing to give every Extra Exclusive song (from New Century to Start a New Day) a , as well as Illegal Function Call, Cytokinesis, S!ck and Triple Counter. At least these.

I don't think Cytokinesis needs a Challenge chart, I'm pretty sure they'd mess it up pretty bad. Illegal Function Call could use one, Start a New Day as well, and I guess New Century and Triple Counter for the sake of having 18s

When I went out to unlock them last night and heard one of the songs had a 17 chart upon getting there, I was hoping it was Renaikansoku. Was a little disappointed when I saw it was the other one, but I think Renaikansoku would make a fun 14 on .

I'm curious as to what you have in mind for Start a New Day and S!ck. I can think of steps on both modes to all the New Generation songs except ZEPHYRANTHES. StrayedCatz would be super odd though.

Yeah, Start a New Day was borderline-overstepped as was, not sure would be a wise idea in any respect.

As for StrayedCatz, come on, a solid 24th run at 150. You know you want to see it. Perfect 18 material right there.

Also not sure exactly how you could make a for Illegal Function Call without making the patterns stupid; as is it's already basically a nonstop 8th run at 260 (as dear lord a 16th run at that speed would basically be 20-footer material),

I worry whenever charts come out, because they have a tendency to be overstepped or borderline. Sometimes it's not necessary to use that 5th difficulty, and while I understand that people want it to be used more often, if it means pushing bad charts into the game then i'd rather that difficulty go away. If the chart is really good, if that one is solid and does a great job, then stay there, because you know the next step is not going to be good.

Alternatively, make beginner go away and bump everything up one difficulty slot. That would work too.

How often do area high scores get updated on the local machine? Once a day or immediately? Because if it was immediate, I may have been the first in USA to play the challenge steps on double on one of the Valentine Extra Savior songs. This happened Thursday night.





Yeah, I bombed hard. At least it unlocked through Extra Stage Level 3.

They should be updated immediately on eAmuse after someone finishes playing a credit if they get the high score; it gets saved at the Logout screen.

Seeing that you're from CA, I'm surprised nobody played them on Wednesday considering all the Ace machines in that state.

The only issue is that some songs from DDR 2014 (as well as their challenge charts) weren't unlocked right away on DDR A (at least in the western releases), and also had to be unlocked through Extra Savior. If I'm not mistaken that is.

Considering 2014 wasn't officially released in the West, in Konami's eyes it a new unlock. I can sorta see why they've done it, but yeah, it's a faff.

FWIW, even Japanese DDR A does that too. If you didn't play Bemani Stadium/Ruins/Summer Diary (as well as a few other events,) you need to unlock them through EXTRA SAVIOR
