I think that they made a mix: there are some parts of 18 chart, but the rest are most likely a 12-13...so if you mix up you got a 16...but xDDD

The Challenge

charts remind me of Horatio or Engraved Mark but faster and longer, although 16 is still an appropriate rating IMO.

For Setsuna Trip, I think the single heavy chart is considered to be a 15, like VEGA and The Wind Of Gold...
Probably because of the 16ths triplets, so yeah.

Wow, it's all GUMI songs and nothing iconic or memorable from SDVX. What a waste of a FLOOR INFECTION to be honest.

Yeah, I have to say I'm disappointed with this too. I'm fine with it being GUMI, but what bugs me is that these songs haven't even debuted in SVX proper yet! Couldn't they have had at least one older song?

Taking "old" songs from SOUND VOLTEX FLOOR and putting them on other Bemani games is the whole point of FLOOR INFECTION. REFLEC BEAT and jubeat for example have gotten much better and more well-known SOUND VOLTEX original songs, and even some Bemani remixes, from their FLOOR INFECTIONs.

Besides, these "new songs" aren't even Konami originals, which DDR 2014 has been sorely lacking in compared to DDR 2013.

Wrong. The only unoriginal song out of the three there is second spring storm; the other two were made for SVX.
