Z-I-v Summer Contest 2014 [CLOSED]

I stepped this a long time ago and it was terrible so I never released it. I looked at it again and figured out why I was having so much trouble, which will be pretty evident to anyone who plays the file that I have since 100% restepped. I'm going to answer for a few points before they're raised. I 100% insist that the BPM should be 120 and not 240, it would be extremely excessive given the content of the song and yes, the section of the chart with the skittles notes is, unfortunately, correct. Also contains regular and lateral footswitches.

God nostalgia hit me really hard with this one as its one of my favorite themes, plus the file was just giving me energy with the fun dumpsreams and the fun little jump stream at the end. Plus the rolls were just perfect in the chart.

Ok this was honestly really good and I loved the song so much, but be careful with what you follow in the song as it seemed to change a bit a few times and also be careful with when you use walks and jacks/double taps. Don't take this in a bad way bc I love your file but just be careful with what patterns you use and where and how often you use them.

I couldn't even find a slow song that inspired me until it was too late (turns out almost everything in my library is ~140bpm). I think my chances of finding a good song for this theme are even lower

Edit: actually, I searched google for the full lyrics of every song on in my "potential ddr songs" folder and one turned up positive!

No reviews from me this week. I'll be gone from my computer after tomorrow evening all the way until next Tuesday (as I said earlier) so I couldn't give any detailed feedback.

As per Wikipedia, Atropos "was one of the three Moirai, goddesses of fate and destiny. Her Roman equivalent was Morta. Atropos or Aisa was the oldest of the Three Fates, and was known as the "inflexible" or "inevitable." It was Atropos who chose the mechanism of death and ended the life of each mortal by cutting their thread with her "abhorred shears." She worked along with her two sisters, Clotho, who spun the thread, and Lachesis, who measured the length. Atropos has been featured in several stories such as Atalanta and Achilles."

I just heard this song for the first time about three and a half hours ago. It was on a short list of songs I found scouring the Z-I-v songs database that fit the theme, and it seemed like the song that I could most easily step quickly. Atröpøs is a frenetic, hectic song with lots of tricky rhythms. Expert is a hard 9, probably could have been a 10.

Macuilxochitl is another name for Xochipilli. From wikipedia:

Xochipilli [ʃu˕ːt͡ʃiˈpiɬːi] was the god of art, games, beauty, dance, flowers, and song in Aztec mythology. His name contains the Nahuatl words xochitl ("flower") and pilli (either "prince" or "child"), and hence means "flower prince". As the patron of writing and painting, he was called Chicomexochitl the "Seven-flower", but he could also be referred to as Macuilxochitl "Five-flower". His wife was the human girl Mayahuel[citation needed], and his twin sister was Xochiquetzal.
