"Wow, 4 types of corn!" |
This post will appear on the next page!Okay, some small things from the test location:
If you get an AA grade for your first two songs, you get "Another Phase" as your final stage. If you AAA your first 2 songs, you get "Blew My Mind"
At this time/test location, it didn't matter what difficulty you did it on.
Also, the movie for "Love is the Power" was removed. Thank goodness there are videos of it from X3 before it goes away forever.
Also, Chronos Single Challenge was upped from a 14 to a 15. And yes, I saw Flower Challenge is now a 15 on single and double.
Goods do not break your combo anymore, and if you have a good in your final result (that is a FC), you get a blue circle along with your letter grade and "Full Combo"
Finally, the new "TAG" mode is like versus mode, but there is some "SYNCHRO BONUS" thing going on. I'm guessing for ranking purposes there may be events where 2 players need to play together or something. If the 2 players are on different difficulties, it is just plain versus mode from the looks of it.
(Sorry if any of this is repeated from others)

Thanks for the info! I was wondering if you could describe how the interface looks like? Is it similar to that of a Wii version of the game or is it still like the arcade interface? Mainly what were the colors and how it looked like in general. Sorry if this is a weird question, but considering there's no pictures to tell us, it would be nice if we had some more info.

For an FC without Goods, is it a green circle with "Full Combo" or a green circle with "Great Full Combo"?

But what is the text that displays over the grade? Is it "Full Combo" or "Great Full Combo"?

Yeah I would think the written comboes would either be:
Marvelous Full Combo
Perfect Full Combo
Full Combo
Semi Full Combo
or
Marvelous Full Combo
Perfect Full Combo
Great Full Combo
Good Full Combo
Marvelous Full Combo
Perfect Full Combo
Full Combo
Semi Full Combo
or
Marvelous Full Combo
Perfect Full Combo
Great Full Combo
Good Full Combo

I think it's been confirmed that a blue full combo (with Marvelouses, Perfects, Greats, and Goods) is marked "Full Combo", not "Good Full Combo".
But is a green full combo still marked "Full Combo", as it was before? Or is it now "Great Full Combo"?

3. "GOOD" judgments will continue combos. COMBOs with GOODs will appear blue.
Expectations lowered.
Very similiar with DDR II Wii.

Just wonder about the scoring. (Still like SN2 or like DDR II )

That's exactly like DDR II (and DDR 2010). It's seriously not a big deal. For your personal gaming experience, you will be shooting for full great and full perfect combos. Konami has changed scoring and grading all through out the DDR series and it hasn't really changed the core of the game and neither will this change.
Now, if life meter was affected by this change, then it would matter a bit more.

If goods now add up to your combos, does this mean that your score now adds up when you get a good? If not, then you'd get a score of 0 if you get a complete good full combo O_O.
Oh and any updates on the characters?

In DDR II, Goods add 0 score, just like they did previously. If this game sticks with that, then the ONLY change on the grading screen will be a higher max combo and a possible blue circle. The letter grade stays the same, the judgements themselves stay the same, and the score stays the same. That's why I don't understand why some people are getting so worked up over this.
now if they somehow managed to use PS3's scoring system then that would be horrible

Interesting. So the Good = No combo break.
Now i would like to know whether the Good timing is still the same, or it gets tighten/loosen.

From the looks of it, the Good combo/blue circle are all that's changed. A 'Good' is still worth 0 points, does nothing to your lifebar, and the timing windows have remained the same.
Or at least, it's safe to assume that since there's been no news of any changes along those lines from the location test. So overall. it's not a big change, and most people will probably still only count a 'great full combo' as a real FC.

It's not a huge deal since it doesn't really affect the gameplay. But what does suck about the change is that for most of us, the combo counter is now pretty pointless.

The only gameplay change is that it makes the Challenge lifebar easier, and if its conditions aren't changed in any way, the EXTRA and ENCORE EXTRA STAGES will be easier. Perhaps they'll either use it as a license to make them harder, restrict them still to Great or better, or do nothing at all!

Well, it is and it isn't.. It'll turn blue once you get a good, so if you've got a good eye you might be able to catch the number it changed at..
Or maybe it'd be nice if they included a kind of graph at the results screen that showed when you lost your marvelous combo, then perfect, great etc.. (I think ITG had something like that, never played it myself.)
