Thinking about it, solo would be a good concept to revisit, it was pretty fun and unique.

^ this is exactly what I think I mentioned a few months ago in this thread (or another thread, idk). DDR X4 vs Solo Mix (if they keep the vs concept in) or just add solo mode to the next arcade version. I'd love to see a double solo mode (12 panels in all) but that might get a bit too complex.

The problem there is that it would be impossible to upgrade existing machines, which would greatly inhibit sales and may very well make it too expensive to consider.

So just buy a new machine that can use solo. If an arcade owner isn't willing to spend that money, oh well, their loss.

Adding 6-panel charts to 200-some-odd songs (and that's just the recurring arcade ones here) would be a possibly ridiculous task as well, especially considering how some stepcharters can't even seem to get the flow of 4-panel down right (see: HP2, 2010).

I'd still love to play it, though. XD

In the meantime, I'd be fine with it being a home-version only feature. I actually liked Octo Mode in 2010 too, just... the execution of it was a little wonky (diagonals overlapping side arrows, makes combinations of those really hard to tell apart). The songs that did get new Octo-Challenge charts like Star Gate Heaven and CSFIL (Super Euro Mix) were really good ones. It's just sad that Music In The Rhythm didn't get one...

Many songs from the past.
A Level 20 chart that looks like it had some effort put into it.
A challenge chart for most or all of the new songs.
And a awesome new bannerVery Happy

"meow meow rawr"
DDR Archive : Can choose between old scale and x scale at first startup. (AFS) Can choose from 1st Mix to DDR2013 AFS. Can choose from Old announcer or Modern Announcer AFS. Settings : At any point of the game, inside the settings menu, for DDR X2, you can choose between AC or CS. Constantly updates, PlayStation2, 3, or 4. Home ver. only. Mission Mode : Different mission modes only unlocks songs from that mix. (1st mix will only unlock songs from 1st mix.) Perks : Songs come in groups so you won't have to scroll through a MILLION songs. Skreps (Perks backwards) : Might take 5 to 8 months to get full songlist with all characters. Way too much lag.
A, E, I, O, Fuck you. Cool

Was wondering about that myself.

As part of the Asian market, I would want more anime-related songs (which I'm sure many others would actually DDR for the sake of it). I'm looking at you, Jojo OPs.

Dance Wars is was a novel idea, but it's not something I would consciously choose to have made. It would be better to take S+ and just add versus play. The rest was fine where it was. We didn't need yet another urban theme, or Gigaburgers, or events.

We especially didn't need online-DRM and a whole new social service to sign into.

I think what Papersak wants is a Dance Wars-esque DDR that is NOT DRM-based as well as made by a totally different developer like GREE, no STAMINA build up, but have the same concept of stealing and battling for stickers and junk. Pretty much what an offline-mode DW game would be like as a CS version. Which would have been more appealing than the DRM-style DW we got >___>.
