What's with the nod to Sacred Oath? Wonder why he'd specifically drop a "hint" on that song? Hmm, well, new TERRA songs always are quite popular in DDR, and Sacred Oath is awesome and has amazing steps.

Oh my god, I really think they're going to nail this release. Hopefully this means we'll have a change of interface.
Can't wait for the 25th!

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Things Needed for the Location Test

Hello everyone, it's been a while.
Starting tomorrow, X2 will be testing at Tokyo Leisure Land in Akihabara. There will be a location test notebook available as well as other things needed for the test.

The notebook is home-made this time☆.
The cover is a refreshing taste of the future.
http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/508

Last time, with DDR X, our notebook got filled to the brim and we had to bring out a second one. This time we've prepared a notebook that is 1.5 times that size, so please write everything without hesitation.

http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/509

By the way, the first page includes an introduction to some of the new features of X2, so please check that out as well.
http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/510

karasu mentioned it already, but there will be some surveys available as well. Please use the questionnaire and the notebook to write your opinions and the development team will look over them carefully!

There are still a lot of rough parts and it may seem "raw" (like its just been started)...er, let's call it "before it's been born", but I would like to hear everyone's frank opinions about the game. Well then, please enjoy the location test tomorrow!

...ummmm is it me or does the last picture have the PS3/360 interface...

Because if so, then HOLY S*** this is going to be exciting Big Grin

EDIT: This also means that possibly the DDR thats coming out for the PS3 early 2010 is going to be DanceDanceRevolution in the US and DDR X2 in Japan...

What would be nice is if we get the new X2 songs from the AC into the PS3 version, now THAT would be something.

uh if they try to do away with the song wheel, I feel they will get a nice backlash

but it doesn't look like the PS3/360 interface. And... if it were the PS3/360 interface, how would that be exciting? Similar interfaces don't really mean anything other than... similar interfaces....

They have a new interface system just like the GF&DM XG series! Whatever the theme, I just want good songs and NO annoncer.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
*・゜゜・ *:.Location Test Begins..。.:*・゜*

In Japan, a DanceDanceRevolution X2 is being held currently at Tokyo Leisure Land in Akihabara.
http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/511
The production team decided to go check it out and saw that there were many people had come even in the early morning to play.

http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/512
Here is the promotional poster for the location test (it's pretty hot!)

In order for everyone to get a chance to enjoy it, the location test is being held until December 3rd.
If you have time, we invite you to come and play for yourself!
Then after you are finished playing, please write down your impressions in the notebook and answer the surveys!
I'd like to hear some interesting opinions from you, so please tell me how both your eyes and feet felt!

-Yosshii

I Have to put all the Information in Order..
Hello everyone.
The location test that is running right now is very popular, thank you all for coming! This is U by the way.

Now then, when we say "location test", we of course mean that this is a "test". That is, its an opportunity to have the game inspected by players.

Which means that I'm in the middle of putting together all the information that we've gotten from players. The surveys are now being collected as well, so we will tally those up when we get them as well. We'll read the location test notebook thoroughly as soon as the location test ends.

That's right, I also have to check the Web Camera data. In particular, the stuff from yesterday!

Either KONAMI means that or they have set up a webcam set up to see what players pick etc... but oh well, it's not like every Japanese location test is leak-free. Tongue

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
The blog was posted at 6PM Japan Time last night, probably before Dr. D even arrived at the location test.

Also, WEBカメラ is exclusively used to refer to a "web cam". Most likely its what Alan's suggested.

Everyone Check Out TAG's Blog!
Many people gathered on both Saturday and Sunday for the location test, thank you so much.
The new week begins and there are only four days left for the location test. Please continue to enjoy the game!

By the way, it seems that TAG's blog has some interesting new information on it.

Location Test Has Ended!

Somehow the location test has ended safely.
This morning the machine was returned to us from the game center and with that, it has officially ended.

To the people who came from far away...
To the people who waited from the early morning...
To the people who stayed until late at night...
To the people who brought their friends to come play...
And to everyone who couldn't come to the location test but enjoys DDR,
Thank you very much!

I would now like to take the time to look over the location test notebook and all the surveys we received.

While you're getting anxious, please wait just a little while!

U@Arcade DDR

And Now to Kyoto!

Have you ever put a 1000 Yen bill into a vending machine to buy a juice and the machine doesn't give you any 500 or 50 Yen coins, only 10 and 100 Yen coins? When you're burdened with such change, you should go play some DDR!

...

Anyways, let's all go to Kyoto to play DDR X2.

N...Hmm. I feel like I wrote that important announcement in a pretty dry way. Well it's really important, so let me try to write it once more.

From December 18th to December 24th, a location test for DanceDanceRevolution X2 at the Round One store in Kawaramachi, Kyoto is going to be held.

We'll be delivering all the excitement from the Akihabara test, so people from near and far, GO GO GO!

-U@Arcade DDR

DDR X2 Crossing the Sea

For the first time, DDR X2 is going to be crossing the sea.

From Honshuu to...FUKUOKA! (Translator note: Honshuu is the main island of Japan where Tokyo is)

That is to say, a DanceDanceRevolution X2 Location Test is going to be held at Round One in Tenjin, Fukuoka from December 18th to December 24th.

And from what I hear, this place is open 24 hours a day! It's all-night DDR! Ah...well, don't overdo yourself and please follow your local laws.

But I'm a little worried. Apparently there might be snow in the area this weekend. If it does end up snowing, please be careful on your way to the arcade. I'm hoping to see many people there.

-U@Arcade DDR

Location Tests Running in Fukuoka, Kyoto!

Good evening everyone.
I was in Fukuoka over the weekend, fluttering about stealthily.
*flutter*
Of course, I was there for the location test.
They had a snow mark over Fukuoka on the weather forecast, but the weather improved after I arrived, there was no need for an umbrella. I was so glad.

It wasn't really a "business trip", so I went around to lots of other places aside from the location test.

Something like...

Location test ->Ramen->Location test ->Miso->Location test->Food cart->Location test (late at night)
etc. etc.

When I went to the area fan meeting years ago, there were so many good things to eat, it was pretty addicting.

You can play 24 hours a day at this place too! The machine was installed in a high-traffic area, so there is lots of attention for it. Don't forget to complete the surveys and write in the location test notebooks so the staff can look at your input back in the office. Everyone close by, come check it out!

Once again, here's an overview of the tests:

DanceDanceRevolution X2 Location Tests Running:
From December 18th to December 24th
Round One in Tenjin, Fukuoka (<- Open 24 hours!)
Round One in Kawaramachi, Kyoto

For more information, go here:
http://www.konami.jp/am/locationtest/ddrx2/

Please have fun with it until the 24th.

DDR X One Year Anniversary, Thank You For Your Patronage

http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/ddr/attach/515

Hello, this is the Arcade DDR production staff.

DDR X was released on December 24th, 2008, on Christmas Eve of last year. It has now been one year from that date, thank you for your patronage!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We're working hard on DDR X2.
FIRE!!!

Kyoto and Fukuoka Location Tests Have Ended!
The location tests that started on December 18th in Tenjin, Fukuoka and Kawaramachi, Kyoto have ended. Thanks to everyone that came! It was very fun to see people playing with their friends and people enjoying themselves on the game.

We have gathered the location test notebook and all the surveys, so please wait a while as we sort through them.

I did go to Kyoto in order to go to the location test, but I also went to Fushimi Inari (Note: This is a famous Shinto shrine in Kyoto). It's famous for its 1,000 toriis! (Note: A torii is a gate commonly seen at Shinto shrines).

Did you know they have things called "Omokaru Ishi" there? It is said that if you pray to these stones and they feel light when you lift them, your wish will come true.
...
Well, mine was pretty heavy...
I guess my devotion is not strong enough yet.
After that, in my pursuit of enlightenment, I followed the toriis and went on the "inariyama" course.
It was a considerable distance with many hills, so after a while, my thigh began to twitch,
Will I be okay?!
