Spent a few days away from the ol' laptop after a friend died. Feeling a little better after that. I also think reducing my online presence will be good for me in the long term, not feeling like I need to be online 24/7 in case I miss out on a conversation or something.

Also, an arcade opened literally a two minute walk from where I'm going on a help course and it has a Pump PREX 3 cab. Will give it a go when I can and probably add it to the arcade database. Definitely didn't expect it. I know PREX 3 is old as fuck but if it's in alright condition I don't really care. (Also there's a Ferrari F355 Challenge and you don't see that every day)

I haven't been on this site in FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRR, and was feeling very nostalgic today. I've been on a nonstop Bemani music listening binge today. Hope everyone is doing well! Love to catch up with the OGs if they're still around.

Bemani music is timeless. For the past two weeks all I've had on when I drive is the 2ndMIX Megamix disc.

I've been listening to all the Nonstop Megamixes I can find, too. Yes, even the one calculator made, as well as the 20th Anniversary Non Stop Mix. They all make for a great way to make my time spent walking and using my elliptical more fun, especially when I exercise in rhythm with the music.

lmao I got fat, but I'm definitely the happiest I've been in years, thanks to many great people in my life. I've been assisting with the DDR XX project, and that may be one of the best opportunities I've had as a content creator. What games have you been playing, and what songs were you thinking about stepping?

Gosh, I don't have time to play many things lately. I've been trying to finish Grad School!! I did start playing the entire Witcher series (got half way into 2 before I had to put it on pause.) which hopefully I can get back to in the near future and finally experience 3, several years later lol. Next fun purchase is to finally live out childhood dream and get a cabinet, for unlimited stepping.

Arcaea though I just retired after reaching a milestone for PMs. Playing other things like Phigros, DEEMO II, and polytone now.

Been in the mood to step songs from all the rhythm games that I’ve played that are mobile. I feel a lot of people aren’t stepping some of the more current stuff but again this place is my only source of people stepping things.

Hey I've been on the struggle of being overweight for a long time. Other than that I've been watching over two of my family members, one a grandmother going on 80, and an uncle who has a terrible case of multiple sclerosis.

Aside from those, I've been into custom mapping for Beat Saber recently, but that's in a much different league than making charts in Stepmania, coming from a 4 and 5 panel mapper there. And yeah, I do have a PCVR headset. So far I got Across the nightmare from drummania pretty much complete on the Beat Saver website.

I also just got back into DarksideRP for Atlas after a near 1 month hiatus there. I'm currently a cadet in the Royal Navy company there and planning to continue playing it.

I have to a a partial retina tear surgery this coming week. Has anyone had this surgery? I am scared to no end.

I’ve never known anyone who had that kind of surgery, but you would be surprised what is routine and doctors do on a daily basis. I would be scared if I was having surgery of any kind too, but you’ll be okay.

On another note, I got my new toy today and even tested an unsupported game with great results.


Edit: Messed around with Outfox for about an hour tonight. It doesn’t detect the Steam Deck’s built in controls at all which is a bummer as it’s the only build of StepMania that allows for proper controller mapping. But Valve does what Outfoxdon’t and I could map the buttons as keyboard presses. No issues at all with Curilang’s A3 theme or STARLiGHT and Encisso’s dancers/stages work flawlessly as well. Navigating the Ace song screen is weird though as you need dedicated menu buttons so I navigate menus with the left stick, click it for / to access song options, have the dpad and face buttons mapped to the arrow keys, start is enter and select is esc. But dammit it works. Hopefully a future version of Outfox adds Steam Deck controller support.

Thank you my friend! It’s all done with lasers now and it’s outpatient surgery. I am definitely nervous but it’s better than the alternative…if left in treated there is a possible I could go blind.
