I’m old enough to remember that Tsugaru Standard existed before memes. Hell, if you really want to get into it I’m probably one of a few people here who remember that Tsugaru wasn’t actually the song the joke was about. It was Apple Mix, but because the joke was from the 7th Mix days where all the Oni remixes displayed with the name and art of the original song Apple Mix didn’t have a name yet so it was just “Tsugaru Standard”. I could have been a buzz kill like you and thrown that in their face when they posted the screen shot but it’s more fun to just have fun especially since I hadn’t seen it mentioned in like 17 years. In short, let people enjoy things.

Don't know where else to put it, but yay, I got my first vaccine shot! It was a total shot in the dark too. My neighbor heard about a vacc program taking place in a covered basketball court nearby, dropped by, and got vaccinated and told us.

I'm surprised I got mine because we didn't know that our county/local government are already doing this as there is a policy of sorts of letting frontliners like doctors and nurses but also other medical staff like dentists, optometrists, etc. as well as the elderly getting the doses before the general public (as well as shame culture for those that get the shots via connections, like what happened to an architect who knew a nurse). Also, that I thought I had to get my prescription papers again because I might need to show them (saved me about $8/400php).

Hope everyone else is doing their part and getting their vaccine shots.

I already got both my shots, and I got them for free, from the local Kroger store near me (SW Ohio).

My first shot was on April 20 and the second shot happened on May 11. As of this past Tuesday (May 25), I'm fully covered.

My family is also fully covered against the 'rona, my grandmother receiving a different vaccine (Moderna) than the rest of my family and myself (Pfizer).

Here in the UK it doesn't look like I'll be able to get mine for a while. What a fucking pain.
