If anything, the next installment would most likely be an append version of DDR A. By the way, no, it's not gonna be DDR B. If it is, I'd be pretty disappointed.
I'd go with DDR A rev.1, DDR A+, DDR A APPEND, DDR A(ppend), etc. and etc...

i always thought the next game would be called A2, that's what they did with X

KAC events almost always means "fresh news" about Bemani games, with it in mind there's a high possibility about great DDR announcements.
Considering DDR A being "new" and they added few songs compared to other games, i think my predictions will be:
- As some of us said: An append version with new KO/crossovers/Extra exclusive songs
- Some kind of "鬼のEXTRA ATTACK" (i will be very dissapointed about this)
- A new boss event (like RDI or Boss on Parade)

I expect the boss event unless those are saved for the end of cycle of the game.

I think DDR AA (Double Ace) would good.

How can it not be AA / AAA? I thought Ace was a slight nod to A from Extreme. [And they released AA in SuperNOVA]

We don't know what it is, we're not Konami. All we can do is speculate.
Also, A is from IIDX. So it'd be a pretty dumb thing to name a DDR mix over one song that wasn't even a DDR original.

looked up AA and i guess it appeared in IIDX first as well
does anyone know why these songs were called that? does IIDX use the same A / AA / AAA scoring system? or is there another reason they were called A and AA?
edit: found some information:
A common pronunciation of AA among players in Japan is "ダブルエース" (Double-Ace). KONAMI stresses that there is no "official" pronunciation, but notes that "Double-Ace" is a common one among players.
so Double Ace, I dunno, with DDR Ace.... maybe it's going to be DDR Double Ace XD
Regarding the original A title:
The A in the title is for the trump card, the ace.
To tell you the truth, I first got the basic idea for this song around 3rd style. A song that starts at about half speed and has lots of complex chords that requires precision sight-reading, then breaks out into a drum'n'bass rhythm with a stream of 16-notes on the piano part. You'd play it with both hands to hit the scattered notes coming down, then for the part with the scales and the scratch, you might perhaps develop the musical technique necessary to mimic an actual performance of such a scale ... well, it was requested that I make a song kind of like that, as it happens, that would force a player to use all of their skill to perform.
However, at the time we felt that the level of this song might provide too high a hurdle for the typical player, so we waited for them to mature as the different versions of IIDX came and went and the level of the game's difficulty steadily rose. When we saw how good people had gotten at spontaneously reading patterns during the 7th location test, we were confident it was the right time to release this song.
This time I've taken the name "D.J.Amuro" from the "A" of the song title. I hope you can feel all the thoughts and memories I've packed into this song.
I'm sorry for all of you who haven't achieved the extremely high level of proficiency to play such a song, but I hope you can look forward to passing it as a sign that you, too, have achieved the highest level of proficiency.
There is an insistence on both songs having "Ace" pronunciations / origins (one is actually pronounced Double Ace, the other is based on the Ace playing card). Surely DDR Ace, with it's knowledge of its own history [even as a borrowed IIDX song], may have been making a subtle nod to its past? If not, it's interesting information nonetheless.

Well, I can't find my post, but I had said that Zodiac Fall was U1 quite some months ago
He really outdid himself for this release! Now if he could also confirm he's Musical Cosmology too...

Random, but the new song comment information on Imanoguilts confirmed at last that Mystic Moon is in fact PON (not that anyone would have doubt it anyway)

I was expecting him to be somewhat prominent since his second song was the ending for SIRIUS.

DDR Hawaii's left pad is kinda fucked up right now; it's hard to play really tough songs on it -- keep getting caught, plus it's kinda wobbly. Still gonna play, but when I went today I noticed that the Player 2 Card Reader didn't read my card. I don't know if it was a temporary glitch, but we'll see.
gameplay has been BEAUTIFULLY SMOOTH... I know it's just a machine and machines break (and can be fixed!!), but it's really noticeable going from ultra-high-end to scraping your shoe against the metal as you go from right --> up arrow.
i just am so thankful they got the DDR machine.... the last thing i want to do is make the manager regret that decision by having ravenous fans like me asking if they can fix the pad and update the second card reader.... ive heard good things about D&B and DDRA re: servicing/repairs, so im hopeful

It's sad that we have to consider the arcade manager's feelings when reporting issues with machines people are paying to play on.

TBH you should tell them when something's fucked or not. Having issues repaired is beneficial to all players, not just yourself.

As long as we report to them kindly and politely about whatever the issue is, this really shouldn't be a concern. And yes, we should always report issues when something isn't working. Managers who care about the survival of their arcades should thank you for bringing them up. What the actual sad part is, not all of them do.
