The one and only time I have ever said NACS>JPCS was EX2. Though, I have VERY high hopes for X.

The only one I think US was better, was DDR MAX, and even then...

6th mix CS and max US are about equal, IMO. 6th CS was all quality, with a small song list. max US had as much quality, but had a lot of crap too IMO.

7th mix CS and max 2 US i would also say are equal. both games just kick so much ass.

extreme CS has no US counterpart, except by name.

party collection also has no US counterpart.

festival vs extreme US. i think we won. god thats a sad thought. its pretty much ki-se-ki vs move your feet, simply being loved, and... wow. thats about it. there was some good stuff shared between both, but its not worth importing festival.

strike vs extreme 2. again, i think we got the better end of that deal, but not by much. its mostly just due to the larger song list, as being UM2 based made strike have a lot of quality stuff.

SN CS vs SN US makes me want to cry. SN CS was so much better.

SN2 CS vs SN2 US, SN2 CS wins again, but our game was damn good IMO.

looking at this, how can so many people say the japanese games are so much better? they might get larger song lists from time to time, but look at how small some of their games are. they get truer ports, but we get some kick ass exclusives that make our games good. they have as many downfalls to their games as we do, people just seem to like saying "jp > us" for some reason.

I think the situation is that because most of the JP versions have the more favorable songlists (at that time anyway, since the US gets them... eventually) the JP versions tend to gain the popular vote. I have never played a single JP CS version ever, but I do like many of the songs from the JP series that the US has not received yet, such as SHOOTING STAR, IF YOU WERE HERE (B4 ZA BEAT MIX), LEAVE ME ALONE, DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, and others that I can't think of. At the same time, since I have only played the US versions, I can say that the licenses in particular are something unique to the US series that I like such as Simply being Loved, Move Your Feet, Take It To The Morning Light (Extended Vocal), Will I?, A Little Bit Of Ecstasy, and plenty more. Then again, since some people look at JP and US as "what one has that the other doesn't or does better," my point of view might not hold much ground in this regard.

DOESN'T REALLY MATTER was never on a CS version because of, what I imagine, licensing issues.

As with the DDR X US CS, I'm honestly expecting that we will only get, at most, half of the planet songs, some remaining pre-SN songs (i.e. Dive To The Night, Tears, etc.), whatever has already been announced, and a crapload of lame licenses like US SN2.

As long we don't get songs like Temperature, Get Busy or He Said, She Said, I'll be happy to see the new game.

EDIT: I forgot one thing: I would like to see Flash through the Night and Follow Me, just to know finally what foot level they are. I think they're the only songs who weren't rated, right?

Right but now they would have to be rated on the new scale, so this pretty much ensures they will NEVER have a classic rating on the 1-10 scale.

The one license they should bring back is Cant Stop the Rain. That song kicks ass, and the charts pretty good too.

But with half of this game expected to be SN2's better half, I doubt it.
