It's been a while since I last talked, but I guess I just wanted to take a few steps back. This environment seems more similar to Twitter in terms of hostility, but I admit my mistake in that I should've prepared more for that.

I guess this does fit into this because I was tempted to make an obligatory "Trump 2020" joke response to the Paul Ryan spam. I don't know if it would've gotten the same kind of response, though it leads me to wonder if BM was intending something similar and it was rubbed the wrong way instead. Truthfully it's amusing that the anti-gay statements got that much response, especially since some people went the other extreme. I think it says more about the environment here than anything.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand why people would be upset. I just don't feel that this is the environment that you'll get a good civil discussion on homosexuality, regardless of what side you're on.

Anyway, that's just my take on this. Hopefully this won't get off tangent and then we have to argue against free speech. I don't talk enough for this to affect me that much, but I know that some people would be very disappointed should that happen.
