I played this game months ago. It's weird and stupid at the same time.
I can't believe that teenager commit a suicide because of this, but there is a warning in the game and It is not suitable for people of 15 years old unless.
This game, which is a horror genre, is not compared between another horror games like Silent Hill, Project zero or Calling. it's creepy but boring too.

Just heard about the passing of Bill Hamel. He was an excellent man and brought quite some catchy tunes to the DDR series. But now I must say this.

I might as well screenshot my Facebook post where I share my thoughts on this whole fiasco. I was responding to a different article but they all say the same thing so what I said here also applies to the one in your post.

So in other words, "we're too lazy or don't care enough to find out what's wrong with our kids or spend time with them, so we'll use a scapegoat to cover up our mistakes instead of honing up to them. It's not my fault they did what they did, it's [insert anything]'s fault".

People want to find simple, linear solutions to grand, scary problems like this because that employs the illusion that they aren't as frightening as they really are. If you live in a fantasy where school violence or suicide has one definitive solution to it, then those problems also become smaller. This logic is obviously fallacious but it's the logic people want to practice because they want their lives, and by proxy their issues, to be simple and easy. While I do agree that people project all of their misfortunes on an easy scapegoat they already don't like or don't understand, I don't think people are just being lazy when they point at video games after a school shooting. I think they are genuinely deluded into thinking that to perpetuate the fallacy that the world is simple. Not because these people are spiteful, but because it is therapeutic for them to not come to grips with reality.
