Haha, when I saw the groove radar for bag, I was thinking that it might be the old, unfixed chart. They should do that for Mikeneko and Healing-D-Vision.
They should just make this a mod; the BREAK TIMING mod.

IIDX Red had a feature like this called Gambol Timing, which let you play any song with the bugged timing window from Gambol.

All looking good, the main issues are, from what I can see: USB unlocks, pad and timing drift.
I am skeptical of the USB unlocks as well. Things will bound to be hacked eventually. And what exactly is the problem here?

I hope this trend doesn't continue on from bag...it's the only one notoriously bad enough to warrant doing this.

Could ask about the 3D stages on X2 ARC ?
Does some songs always placed on same Stages whatsoever ?
Example : Captain Jack Grandale Remix always placed on Discoball Stages ?
Poseidon (kors k remix ) always placed on Stage that have video BG monitors ?
And how about old songs like Afronova , Paranoia Rebirth, etc ?

As far as hacking: hacking an X1/X2 machine will be nothing like hacking ITG/ITG2. X1/X2 probably uses binary files for it's stepchart data, a proprietary song format and runs on a system that no one knows much about. ITG/ITG2 runs on Linux with Stepmania. Pretty much insta-hack.

Well, it just runs on a PC running Windows XP Embedded, as with all BemaniPC releases. A lot of the data is in proprietary formats (though that's not to stop someone reverse engineering them if they can be bothered), though some is not (background videos for the songs that have them).
(And for the record while the conversation is related to hacking - whilst I've not heard of any bootlegged cabinets out in the wild, I've seen a cracked drive image of DDR X (US version) booting on a bog-standard PC running Windows XP Pro - though it's not playable due to lack of input)

No no, I mean the system running DDR X/X2 (the program itself). You could probably reverse engineer the formats no problem, but injecting them into the DDR executable binary might be a problem. I doubt DDR X/X2 looks into a folder and loads everything in there like Stepmania does.

Okay, I have a few questions... According to the new Bemanistyle videos, the US version does not have songs including "Be Your Wings" or "Eternity" from the start. Are they available later, or is it too soon to say? Also, Wikipedia states that "Your Angel" from Universe 3 and "Nah Dee" from Walk it Out are in the game. Could anybody prove that they are in the game, because no other source that they are available...

This is a test location. Meaning it's simply a "TEST", it's not the real deal. So more than likely when it is released, these songs may appear OR may be unlocked either through time or through a USB unlock...

Because it's a location test, not all licenses are available. Most likely they will appear in the final version. (unless they have some license issue)
And the songs, ATM, are just lies.
Edit: Oops, MAX won.

I didn't know about that. But the software that the US cab test have is a Test version like we had in Japan Expo. It's not the full version

This, and I wouldn't believe Wikipedia as much as you did. Anyone can edit it. I could change it and say that "Never Gonna Give You Up" would be in X2 AC, with new charts.
Actually, this could be epic !Curious to see how will work this USB unlocks system ...
Also, good news about new pads, those on DDR X are quite horrible << ...

What I hear is that the game's loader does a checksum on the drive to prevent modified data from loading. I also hear that there's a way to disable the checksum (hasn't actually been tried to my knowledge) and that once done the game in fact will look into the appropriate folders and "load everything in there". But that data has to correspond with a checklist somewhere else I think.
It's kind of like forcing new songs onto a legit ITG2 cabinet, you have to make sure the cache is also in place. Cause from the looks of it all the song data (audio tracks, setpcharts, videos, artwork) in DDR X is organized in a certain order but in different locations for each type of data and unless you line the stars up perfectly everything will go kablooey.
...Or get really interesting when selecting TRIP MACHINE gives you the audio for SEXY PLANET.

As a Wikipedia editor allow me to say that as of right now the Dance Dance Revolution X2 article is almost completely unsourced and, in my opinion, complete garbage. I'm getting around to working on it but I am literally the only person maintaining those articles. Oh God the COLOURS!!!
