Make sure that your stepmania folder is set like this:
StepMania 5 > SNCharacters >Character Name

Uh, i did a clean install but the theme displays only a black screen and white text. Help?

Make sure you take the theme (DDR SN3) out of the "Themes" folder in the ZIP when trying to copy the theme into Stepmania 5's "Themes" folder.

Also I think you need the bones or skeleton file, but I think that's for 3.9, 3.95 and AMX.

Nope.
The way that our system works is that it literally just loads a dancing character video and the toasty graphics.
That's all.
No models needed

The 'characters' are simply movie files, so no bones/skeleton files are needed for them to function.

No like.
We're using a completely different system than sm5's character system
SM5's character system is pretty much the same as 3.9's. We just decided to make stuff a bit more fancy and user friendly.
Working on a couple things behind the scenes, optimizing stuff, all the nonsense.
What do you guys think of the new BPM meter placement?
Should I keep it like this or return it to the old design?

I think it looks neat, but the groove radar should be centered too. Also perhaps the BPM meter should also stretch further down to be the same length as the banner.

We are really hoping to get this theme complete by September. Our only issue is that we only have one dedicated coder, and some of the functions that we want this theme to have (CS accurate Endless and Battle modes) require more than one mind to figure out. Not only that, but AFTER the theme is released we have even more difficult tasks to complete for the game release (mission mode, shop system).
If anyone would like to contribute please either PM Inorizushi or I. If no one would like to help, we understand completely. It just takes a lot of work to create a great experience for this community.
