un deun trois - I don't understand why there's jump spams in the second half and the flow in the first half is a little bit off

MAXIMIZER - This one I can respect but the patterns get really strange towards the end and it's a little overdone in terms of technicality

You Are A Star - This is mediocre at best, I don't think they really thought this one through

Let me rephrase that: I don't know a lot of DDR CS EXCLUSIVES with good charts. I also meant CS songs that were licensed. Sorry about that.

Also, I believe SomethingRandom was talking about the Oni chart AM-3P received in the UNIVERSE series (I forget which game)

I just tried out Rave Until The Night Is Over after seeing this (despite SM doing that thing that it does when it's been on for too long) and it looks like a fun chart.

Somehow You Found Me isn't the hottest chart in my opinion. Weird patterns and kind of overcharted.

There's boss songs that are fun to play on pad, but for me, Unreal is not one of them. The jumps are placed so oddly that you keep having to reposition yourself or make awkward turns while jumping to make it work. It's not the worst chart, but it could be better.

Jumping in quickly to make a defense of Diamond Night S-. While the chart is awkward to execute in spots, most of its problems stem from the fact that it implements 270s all over the chart, even during 16th gallops. At least the chart is coherent, follows a central trend, and has some pretty fun patterns in the crossovers during the chorus and the freezes in the ending imo. Far from the worst chart. This one I'd imagine could be pretty fun to execute no bar with all the 270s done properly

After playing it ~5 times on my pad and trying to do the 270s, I have to concede you are right. It is still pretty wonky to play, but actually fun, especially no bar.

What's a "270"?

270 degree turns; you cross over (turn 90 degrees), and then turn around (turn another 180 degrees) to hit the arrow that is now behind you. People also refer to them as half-spins. The alternative to doing these without doublestepping is to cross over and then have your other foot rotate around the foot that reached the other side of the pad.

A pattern like this:

L D R U

would be a doublestep by most definitions, and most players would doublestep this pattern, but you can also play it like a 270° spin by playing it with alternating steps, landing on the Up arrow with your right foot, facing away from the screen. It's not easy to do and can mess you up easily if you do not know how the chart goes, but when done right can be pretty fun, same with spins.
